Looks cheap. I also wonder how it's going to adhere, like how much space is there for the adhesive? And will it goes edge to edge? Otherwise you've got a raised perimeter everywhere? These newfangled clear plastic badges won't last long on street parked cars.

It's ridicolius how much bitching going on these days. The i4 concept were a breath of fresh air, and the BMW logo 6.0 looks modern and suits the i brand.

Agreed, but it's the internet, bitching about shit that doesn't matter and you have no control over is modus operandi.

If you're going to have ultra modern looking cars such as concept cars they need to have a matching updated logo. It's still 100% recognizable. Minimalism!
I still like the old-school positioning of the C-pillar badge, when executed it always look sharp. |

I don't have anything in particular against the new logo, but they might as well completely change it and rename the brand as their designs for the past 15 years have nothing in common with the brand that I used to love...

Is it though? The '97 version seems like a pretty big brand leap over the 1917/33 version

Looks just like a supermarket cart token.

Actually I prefer to think that the old badge can now be retired with honor and won't be sullied and tarnished by association with the grotesque .

No surprise. MINI did a refresh of their logo (flat and minimalist looking) and now BMW did it and I think it looks fine. At the end of the day, I'm still going to know it's a BMW roundel. The hofmeister kink on the other hand...
