Great post. Sounds like test driving a 2013 35i (with tip-in delay resolved and sport mode) might have tipped the scales in favour of the BMW.

I battled a throttle mapping issue for quite some time on the blue BMW in the second pic - three different aftermarket tunes -and I have to admit..I was NOT looking forward to doing it again so the tip-in was definitely a strike against the BMW. Hoping BMW has that fixed, but even now I see folks on the forums saying the latest SIB (which apparently makes it much better) doesn't cure it completely (it may be good enough though now).

Close to biting on the X3 35i M - yay or nay?
We just picked up our 2012 X3 28i on Friday, trading in our 2007 323i (sorry to see it go). It`s loaded up with options and we love it!!!
