Read wrong lol oops, you're right!
X3M Comp makes a little more stock but the gains should be similar. Some cars are stronger than others very normal.

anyone can make a tune look good but make for terrible daily driving. even on the x3 m40 forum people are complaining about tunes not being smooth. again it's good for the track nothing else |

As far as drivability, it's difficult to control power delivery with a small displacement engine (remember 1.5 liters feeding each turbo) because the engine can't make much torque without the turbos spooled. This is do to the combination of having small displacement and running lower compression for a forced induction engine. So, when the turbo spools you feel the engine spike in torque which usually will cause the tires to break loose. This is where having all wheel drive comes into play. If you stay in front of your peak torque, you will not feel that spike in torque. Also, having a torque converter will inherently help power delivery by acting like a shock absorber to the engine. There's a lot more to it, I don't have time to get into, but this is a general summary in a nutshell. |

that's a fair point about it not being NA. I test drove the X3MC before placing an order and it definitely felt smoother than the X3m40 I have currently which is why I take these charts at face value.

These motors are absolutely insane. Can’t wait to see this powertrain stuffed in the G80 M3.
I may have missed it but...any 60-130mph or 100-200kph times? Curious to see how the X3/X4 platform carries itself upstairs. |

Amazing numbers! Flash tuning is where its at and none do it better than the bootmod3 folks IMHO. Piggybacks can never have the smoothness of a proper flash tune.

Comparing S55 and S58 torque delivery w/ bm3:
S55 bm3 Stage 1 91 octane ver 9.1- 420 tq @2900 440 tq @3100 525 tq @3600 544 tq @4200 MAX 510 tq @4800 475 tq @5600 440 tq @6200 375 tq @6800 S58 bm3 Stage 1 93 octane BETA- 280 tq @2900 350 tq @3100 485 tq @3600 532 tq @4230 MAX 520 tq @4800 480 tq @5600 450 tq @6200 430 tq @6800 I'm guessing that the dyno for the X3 M pulls is showing mild low-end torque results because of the tuner being on the safe side during beta testing, maybe boost reducing 1st and 2nd gears. Nice mid-range and top-end results though!

This is great! Can't wait to transfer my M3 license and tune this thing.
It needs downpipes though ASAP. Those would really open this up but it's been radio silence for the DP's

I wouldn't go that far. MaxPSI is pushing 900+ WHP with their keyed crank hub. It's still an incredible motor and reliability wise leagues above the S65, S85, S54.
I'll be on this platform for good, doesn't matter how fast the G80 M3 is that front grill is absolutely disgusting. I'd 1000000% get an X3M though. Decisions, decisions. |
