It had the shaking problem at highway speeds that has been plaguing the US cars for 2 years now. The suspension on North American Subaru Outbacks is different than the rest of the world, and this problem is only found on Outbacks in the US and Canada. To-date there is no fix. They have a TSB that masks the problem but has only about a 50% success rate. I don’t want to hijack this thread, but if you are interested in this problem there is an entire forum subsection for it at Subaruoutback.org http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/...-shake-issues/ |

Well that sucks! Hope this doesn't turn into some huge problem across the board for BMW. Maybe if it does though, it will force a recall and some immediate action. Have you looked on any of the other series forums to see if people are complaining about this as well?

Well, you've gone through a lot and at least you aren't going to sit back and be taken for a ride with this situation. I hope it's resolved with the update. Good luck and keep us posted.

MrsAdams, did you decide on the Q5, or are you back to the X3?

Believe so, but don't know which version. CE6.0 was the big "redesign update" and is apparently much improved over all previous versions. CE7.0 is now the current version. It wouldn't surprise me if BMW is still using 1.0 or 1.5.

Amen. They are always significantly low when I take delivery. Luckily, the compressor in my garage is always ready to go!

Oy Seriously, your situation is really not persuading me to buy a BMW. I know these issues can happen with any car, but it seems like they may have sent out a vehicle that needed some guinea pigs to work out the kinks. Been there, done that with Ford. Really hope this situation turns around for you quickly...or that you feel you were fairly compensated for this. Not sure what that would take at this point though. Eek.

Wow Lotus, I would be sick in my stomach. I pray this doesn't happen to my vehicle. I will go crazy! Will this be the third time so you can apply the Lemon law? If you do, will you order another one?

It is at least a tiny bit comforting that you have a lemon law in the US. I don't think there's anything like it in Canada. I'm bringing my car in tomorrow and I am very fearful that I'll be on much of the same roller coaster ride as you are now...

Sorry to hear that Lotus. I hope for your sake it's fixable and soon. I hope for other people's sakes that these problems are few and far between. The % still appears to be very small but it's hard to know for sure
