Btw I tried a few of brake pads. Oems are good but do fade, they’re basically brembo pads branded by bmw very expansive. I tried brembo Nao ceramic pads, they were much better as far as dust but the bite and brake feel wasn’t nearly as good as oem. I recently put on pads from Pagid hella. They have incredibly great brake bite and brake feel. They do dust similar to oems but perform better. They can be used with the 374x36 rotors or the 395x36 rotors
Pagid part number is T2541

Thank you so much for all the information. I will have to look around for something from the list of vehicles you provided. I would really like to go with the 395x36 in the front.

On the back of the calipers it says which rotors you can use. For the fronts calipers if you got the ones for the 374x36 rotors or the 395x36 rotors, you can use the same pads I recommended earler from pagid. For the rotors you have a left and right side.

Norris83 Thanks for all your help with this. I have a question what are the torque specs for the caliper holders Front/Back and the caliper itself Front/Back? Are they the same for any of the 395x36 and 374x36 rotor setups?

Fronts torque them at 80 ft-lbs rears I believe 30 ft-lbs. doesn’t matter which caliper, the fronts have larger screws than the rears.
Also front brake pads are the same for both size calipers the ones for the 395x36 rotors and 374x36 rotors.

I purchased the Supra Calipers off eBay, the ones that fit the X3iM. Have them all painted ( sanded the Supra name off calipers. Im looking now for the rotors , but want drilled rotors to replace the 348 that came on the car. The only place I can find them is on UK Ebay. Cannot find any in the USA. Any suggestions.

I only did new pads on the rear, discs were still ok.

I'll try and post some pics tomorrow.

My wife has a X3 x30i M sport, but with the tiny 330mm brakes.
The front brakes are almost done after 10k miles, so time to upgrade.

I just got Front 374mm Calipers and Rotors + Rear 370mm Rotors and Caliper Carriers.
I went with the DFC 5000 pads from bimmerworld since I couldn't find the Pagid ones you suggested.

My question for you was,
Will my rear base x3 Calipers work with the 370mm Caliper Carriers and Rotors? Also the parking brake actuators?

I couldn't find any information about if it would work. Looking up Part Numbers in RealOEM, I cannot confirm if it will work or if I would need to buy 370mm Calipers and/or parking brake actuators?

In your original post, did you reuse your base x3 rear calipers or use your m550i rear calipers?

I could confirm once I get the current parts in to test fit, but just seeing if you would know, this would save myself sometime if I need to purchase rear calipers and the actuators before taking things apart.

Thanks for the write-up and providing part numbers. I've been following and bookmarked this thread, for the time my x3 needs brakes, which is soon.

You need M550i calipers or X5 calipers. Either will work.

Thank you Norris!!
I'll post pictures when I get all the other parts in and fitted.

Ended up getting some good used M550i calipers from ebay.
