This looks like a worthwhile upgrade. I'm happy with keeping stock look and the 8.8 inch screen but if I ever want to go bigger on the screen, i'll keep this in mind.

get ISTA / D and look at the wiring diagrams. They might be different. if you do not have the light package high, you definitely need to code the car to accept the new tail lamps.

I have a 2011 f25 x3 with full nav. Would I be able to put the NBT (id5, not evo) unit in my car without having to do the harness upgrades like I would have to if I had no navigation?
I retro fit the nbt evo in my 2007 e90 335i and that was a HUGE ordeal in comparison to what I'm hearing everyone here say. |

I have F25 of 2015 with NBT and 8.8 monitor. How did you close the space behind the new screen ?Did you have to custom build anything to mount the new screen ? Last edited by Mikejtd; 02-01-2022 at 03:28 AM.. |

Hi! I’m new here so I can’t DM at the moment. When you upgraded your CIC, did you change out your ZGW or tapped in to it with the respective CAN HI/CAN LO? I have everything working so far, but my car is encountering problems with emissions (smog check) test. The car won’t go in to Emissions Ready when the headunit is plugged in. If the headunit is unplugged, then the smog test works… Any insights is appreciated! Thanks!

I purchased all the equipment that you have listed for the retrofit. Would you be so kind to share how you installed it? I do know a good person that does coding. Thanks in advance! |

It was pretty easy, but keep in mind you need to sacrificie the old screen to cut 3 holes for legs and cables. Credits to aspame82: I bought a damaged 6.5" screen for a few bucks on ebay to preserve the original one (8.8 monitor) Retrofit was inspired by aspame82's thread.
