I've punished an AMG GT-R (4.0L V8 bi-turbo RWD), a few 911s, countless teslas and just as many 600cc super sport bikes.. off the line, or from 60-120mph...

haven't done 160, but it's scary how seamlessly it can hit 130-140

Talking of racking and higher speeds:

Anyone won (street) races, eg. straight-line, with dsc (completely) off, and hit 130-140 mph?

Just checking if that is even a good idea, trying to see if i should try that in next data logging.

Not a race, but last summer when I picked up my car from germany of course limiter has to be tested in Autobahn.
Easily 260km/h (+161mph) and without limiter, it would go much faster.

And with the M5, 268km/h is current record. Should go about 300km/h but have had no gutts to drive

My fastest I went in the X3 was 164mph. My goal is for 175mph.
So I am interested if anyone else came that close..

So your speedlimiter seems to be removed too

175mph is about 281kmh, should not be a problem, imo.

Like I have politely said state your own valid points of view 'on topic' by all means but not contrived one's about me...along with BS innuendo as I consider myself quite sober not drunk and certainly know there's no confusion in anything I written on this thread ...have you considered leaving the thread before you stoop any lower? What is written is clear to read...I reject being trolled...you too have a great day.

Yes. My stock speed limiter was 130mph. My car is not stock.

Every single thread like this on every car forum I've ever been a part of starts and ends this way. You are not going to change each other's opinion on this subject. Move on and don't read/post in the thread if you don't agree. Simple as that.

I've no issue with differing opinions Yea or Nay...the whole idea of a thread is to air differing views...so long as they remain ON TOPIC. It's when they stray into personal mockery and downright rudeness that the very idea of participating becomes OFF TOPIC.

I see what you're saying too...it's a neutral comment and I appreciate the message you post for ALL...Thank you.

That said I'm not going to let it pass without it being called out, otherwise we may as well ALL move on to other Forums...spoilers know who they are I'm not a spoiler nor have I ever been so I'm staying put...I'm in my mid 70s and know what good manners are and will always call out bad manners when personalised. I hope ADMIN is reading these posts as I'm pretty sure rules are being disregarded here.

There is a difference between "street racing" and outrunning some jamoke for 200 yards on the freeway.

Fair enough but as a gent in his mid 70s surely you know that a chat room full of men who own high performance cars is going to have an excess of high testosterone and sophomoric humor. Indeed that is part of the fun. Nobody wants to see anyone get hurt and I understand your concern that given your age you have seen a lot. I would also respectfully submit that perhaps you could be mindful of coming across as a bit of a scold and needing to have the last word is going to open you up to pushback. That's enough out of me.

My wife has been driving the new M40i around town this week. She asked me why are people racing their engines at me? She said a mustang pulled up beside her and started reviving and popping before it sped off. She said it happened with a civic with a big fin too.. he kept pulling up beside her and speeding offf.

She still doesn't know what she's driving. She thinks is a cute SAV.

Hilarious! Happens to me and my wife all the time! Now she knows, light turns green, give it some gas, and watch the look on their face when a "cute" SUV pulls away from them! 😲😲

I raced a scat pack charger off the light.. put him in his place.

It was maybe 2pm, busy street, plenty of pedestrians, even a cop stopped at the oncoming side of the intersection that I seen prior to our race. Oh and did I mention the woman and her baby stroller that I narrowly missed by a hair?

Fun stuff.
