WTF........................... wholly crap batman !!!
Is this it ? Also i am certain pre-lci is one piece (both front and rear), from look of it at least i don't see how the g01 wheels can be two pieces, unless there is way to remove the center section that is super secret. |

Maybe pre-LCI cars had an older revision of the rotors. |

I bet the center section is some sort of alloy because why else would BMW make it a 2-piece rotor? |

I don't see any issue if it's one-piece. I'd worry about the weight of the wheels/tires more than rotor. The closer the weight to the center is, the less is its effect on performance than the one that extends farther from the center like wheels/tires. |

Can someone confirm from the info in this thread that the caliper is NOT the same between stock M340i sport brakes (348) and the rotor that is used for the ZTK option?
If it IS the same, the actual reason brakes work is anulus numbers (a factor of two radii) and the size of the caliper for general head dissipation. A larger rotor is heavier, and will make sometimes sizable differences in feel due to unsprung weight increases. |

This is in complete contrast to the two piece rotors where the rotor is actually floating on the hat to allow for massive thermal expansion, and typically separately replaceable from the center hat. I haven't seen these available in the aftermarket for our cars (but haven't really looked!)
