I must say, the new grille looks really cool now that we see the whole car. Let's hope they don't change too much in its final design.
I think many users here overreact just because it's such a new design. Soon most will get used to it and appreciate it. |

The front charge port is clearly not for CCS (fast charger), so it seems they put the slow home charging port in front and fast charging port at the back. Makes some sense, as it will be quicker to insert the charger at home, but while at a CCS station you don't need to park faced against the actual charger (like a Leaf). |

Quick photoshop with proper twin-kidneys.
See how easy that was BMW?

What it should have been.
The attached image should have been translated to a finished design and it should have been Tesla fast.

Because the iX3 is built on the current X3 chassis. Therefore it looks like the X3. The i3 & i8 will not have a second generation, they are dead. BMW spent who knows how much developing carbon composite body/chassis for i3 and i8, that will no longer be used.

I am not talking chassis. You do not have to change the chassis to accommodate some bulges and weird futuristic curves. To be honest, I don't give a crap either way.

As for range, the upcoming E-tron and the i-pace have similar range as this iX3, but the others have 4-500 hp, and more tq. wonder why BMW didn't make more of the possibilitys the EV is offering. Thus far, the i-pace looks the more genuin EV, regarding cabin space and other EV advantages.
The latter cost also less than the Audi EV suv, the e-tron is 80k euro range, wonder where BMW will place themselves, maybe underneath because of less performance?

The iX3 is just fine after all.
Could all of the KIA people please leave now and go buy a KIA since they seem to love them so much that the mistake them for a BMW. Such wishful and uninformed thinking sounds suspiciously like... well... a KIA driver. Please go follow your heart as we BMW enthusiasts will continue to move forward.

A starting price of $60-$63K is about as much as this vehicle will be worth by the time of release.

Please separate the kidney grills! Then I think we have a viable design. Sure, there should be other wheel choices, but those can always be swapped.
Why can't this look just like a X3 M40i with maybe a few trim piece color changes?
