Saw somewhere 10” is max width in the back.
If you want to fill out the well (higher), just get a bigger tire?! Remember to code your wheel circumference, so that odometer and speedo shows the right numbers. /n |

Based on my research, this combination is only 2mm closer to the suspension components and extends 24mm farther out in the rear AND only 1mm closer inside and 11mm farther out in the front than the OEM 20 and 21" wheels... Fingers crossed, but I think this will work! Last edited by gixxerboy63; 07-09-2018 at 10:34 PM.. |

I'm very interested in the outcome of this upgrade! My wife wants to trade in the 535d M Sport for a X3. I want her to get the M40i since I don't think the diesel variant will be here by the time the lease ends.

Would anyone know if these Beyern wheels would work? These are officially for the 5-series, but I think they look great. However, I'm not sure if the offsets and fitments would work. Ideally, I'd love to go with the 20x9 square.

Looks really nice, any 3/4 shots showing the width? Personally I think it looks fine at stock height.

Looks amazing. Great choice. No need to lower in my opinion. What size and brand of tires did you go with for the front and back?

If you lower it, then you will post pics and I will want to lower mine. Then in three years I will kick myself come lease return time for lowering.
But yeah, lowering would definitely be icing on the cake. Looks great with the wheels. |

I really want to lower it, but my wife is not wanting me to do this because it is her daily. We already have a lowered M4 that she is very nervous about driving; |

This looks sweet! I do hope the TSW's hold over the long haul. Since the X3 will be my wife car, I think I need to look at a forged setup...

The TSWs are rotary forged, stronger than cast, light weight and has the ability to flex. The rotary forged or (flow forged) process stretches and compresses the aluminum in the barrel area of the wheel and in the process, the structure of the alloy is realigned in a way that enhances its tensile strength and stiffness, giving it similar properties to a forged wheel in the barrel area. This process also increases elongation, or the amount that a wheel is able to flex before arriving at a breaking point. This happens to be an important safety feature to consider if you're smashing curbs at a racetrack or pounding potholes on the highway.... The ADV1s that were on my X5M were machined out of a solid block of aluminum. Cool wheels, but stupid expensive.... I will reserve them (or perhaps a set of HREs for my next full on M-car or Porsche) |
