Why is your dealer telling you a "possible" slot? Either he has a slot open in July or he doesn't! If one is open, he should be able to tell you your exact build slot. I seriously question the dealer you are working with. Isn't there anyone else you can order from? I would just take the numbers to another dealer and ask them to match it and be done!

Dealer says they didn't get any June build slots at all for the 35. They should know in approximately a month whether the factory will give them any in July. If anyone knows of any dealerships that have build slots for the 35s now I will call them. My sales manager says no one has any.

Same here for me in Canada: ordered on 4/18 and i didnt even get the production # and the sale manager/rep are not answering my emails. When i asked for quotations before buying, email got answered within hours.
These were inventory orders made months in advance with about every option available, Production status was 111 or 112 so it was still possible to modify the order according to mty specs. I guess i will have to go there in person. Not a pleasent experience. |

Not sure about your guys but here dealers are serious rivals. They would rather you went to Audi than buy their car from the rival BMW franchise down the road. There is sadly also a captive audience mentality as many buyers don't shop around different dealers of the same brand. Maybe all this might explain part of your poor service?

Will go into production next week. Calculate 1-2 weeks production time + 2 weeks delivery + prep center and it should be ready for mid-june, as stated by the CA. I now have my prod number. Where can i check it for canada? |

You can't check it online as the US orders are checked. About your only source for Cdn orders is the dealer.

My completion date has advanced as well. Some time either yesterday or today it moved from 5/6 to 5/5. They must be either sandbagging or more likely running extra shifts to try and meet the high demand.

Canadians pay less than all other countries except the US. On a global basis, Canadians are not hard-done-by.

Also there are no dates on the printout I got from the CA. I'm gonna just guess and say May 11th or 12th based on your completion date. |

I don't think a four months waiting period to build and get the car is that fast! It's so ridiculous it takes that long. I wouldn't want to wait more than 2 months to get a new car!

Yeah, a 4 month wait was definitely not what I expected. Somebody posted the other day about the 2012s potentially coming out in July. Does anyone know what changes they may be making for the 2012s?
