My dealer told me that, my car was at the handover compound on a ship heading for dalian port..... that didnt make any sende... she sent me q screenshot thst i posted in here...

Just chatted to BMW Genius, car still has a 165 code but they’re unable to give any more details as there is a “technical hold” on the vehicle, whatever that means!

165 - it is probably at the dalian handover compound, as mine in code 165... the only ship that will arrive next week in dalian is the atlas leader, so hopefully our code will change a Day or 2 after it left the dalian port

Hello,

During the delivery journey, do all codes go from 160 to 165, or do they sometimes jump to 19x depending on who you get the status update from?

The only department I've been in contact with for updates recently, have been the online genius team on the UK BMW website and since my build in mid July it's been steady at 160.

What does the schedule say? And where does they usually unload cars heading for portugal

my father already has an ix3, and the car came by ship to the port of setubal which is a port city in Portugal, the schedule here will have news in a week because my dealer is on vacation, I know my car it was produced in week 29 and was due to be delivered this August... but of course there were delays...

My car ordered start Feb 2022
My proposed stock date is 29.09.22 - I assume that for that date, it must be on the boat already?

I ordered my car in March and the expected delivery date is August 30th, I still don't know if the car is already on the boat to Europe...

I am via lex too,

Ask lex to give you details of your dealership and then they can give your a VIN (or short vin) or the vehicle. You can then chat to BMW genius and ask for a status code (Twitter or on the chat pop up on website)

More than likely 195 - at sea having left dalian

Or 165 - waiting at dalian to be loaded to a ship,

Given your dates I would say it's on a boat.

If this is the case ask the bmw what date the status changed and you will be able to figure out which boat it is likely on.

my dealer in portugal told me that the delivery is scheduled for week 43, my car was produced on the 29th of july and is currently in status 165 so it is waiting to get on the ship...

So Atlas Leader is on the move, but we’re still on code 165 this morning. Genius still estimate week 42 (17 Oct) for delivery. Here’s hoping it on the ship but hasn’t been updated as yet!
