I ordered my M40i today.
I tried to order ZDA, but the CA told me it couldn’t be done. I told him that I heard (from this forum) that it WAS possible to order ZDA, but he insisted it was not possible. Any suggestions? |

It’s definitely possible. He just needs to call BMW and get an override in place so the order will go through. I’m not sure exactly who they call, but whoever it is... it takes about 2 days to get accomplished. My order above was just finally sent in yesterday with both ZDA and ZDB.

Guys, if anyone is looking for a car like the one in the attachment please send me a PM. I originally ordered this car, but I ultimately went in a different direction. This car is available right now and is located in South FL.

Since the X3 underwent a major redesign for 2018, it is unlikely that there will be many/any significant changes for 2019; however, since we are approaching the time when BMW will stop building the 18's and switch to the 19's, what do you expect to be different? Colors (some, probably), and maybe some of what is in ZDA and ZDB to be included as standard? I am guessing the latter simply because the competition is doing this and BMW explaining why they are still not doing this is not customer friendly. Of course, we may see a price increase to cover it. Others?

There’s already another thread detailing changes that we know about. One that I would have liked to have gotten is the m sport differential.

I read the past few pages. Seems like 13% off is a good deal, and 15% discount is possible with additional rebates like USAA, loyalty, etc?
I have about 10 bmw dealerships in the MD/VA area. A local no hassle dealership has x3 m40i discounted at 11% so i can do better at other places. I will be a first time bmw owner $65,270 x .86 = 56132 + TTL. Im thinking of contacting dealerships for 9k discount (14% off). reasonable? |

What rebates and incentives do you qualify for? I don’t think any dealer will discount a car 14% off MSRP not taking incentives and rebates into account. You’d be asking them to PAY you to buy their car...

Yeah I agree with pcmike. I ended up at ~ 16% off but $4k of that were rebates. I was very happy to get 10% off from the dealer, and that was a factory order. I researched pricing a lot and never saw anyone get 14% off before rebates.

So I was doing the PCD thing and contacted a bunch of dealers nationally, but went with Passport BMW which is local anyways. Great dealership. If you haven’t contacted them I sure would. Best experience I ever had buying. I’m also still in euphoric mode since I’m just 2 days removed from PCD and driving back thru the blue ridge mountains.

My sales rep just called me and told me someone changed the interior color on my build right before it went into production. They now have to cancel that order and put a new one in tomorrow for a later production date.
He felt really bad, it wasn't him and he isn't sure what happened. Now the car won't show up till after I turn in my current lease. Feeling |

Bummer man! Maybe they’ll throw in the ultimate care or tire and wheel package for the screw up on their end?

If your current lease isn't a BMW, you may/may not be able to extend your existing lease for some extra time. if not, I would be pushing your new BMW dealership to give you one of their loaner cars at no charge until your new X3 comes in. |

Good question. In my case, it was after production was completed and the PCD date got set. Then a few days before PCD you do all the finance paperwork with your dealer. You get your team tags there to take down with you. Very smooth process. And as you will see on other threads PCD is the best experience ever.

The thing I'm really bummed about is that the X3 was going to be here in time for my birthday camping trip. He said there is a chance it could arrive the day before or be ready the morning of the day I would leave on the trip. Hopefully there will be a good update tomorrow! I'm not to familiar with those packages, would the tire and wheel be useful on a lease? |

Both have the potential to be worth about the same, even on a lease. The ultimate care package adds back wear and tear items (brakes, belts, wipers) to the service warranty and is valued at $600. The tire and wheel warranty protects against flats and curbed wheels. It’s usually close to $1,000 or more when you sign your documents.. but the true cost is usually a lot less. Either one for free would be worth the 5mi walk to work for a week, for sure!
