I am curious,
Will this combination be good good fit?
274/40 with 315/35?

You'll need at least a 11" wide rim if you believe these guys

https://www.tyresizecalculator.com/t...dth-calculator

https://www.willtheyfit.com/

Also, use this calculator to keep the tires within +/- 1.0% between front and rear

If you simply take the factory rear tires on your X3 M & mount them on the front wheels, you're going to be putting rear designed tires on the front of you X3 M. This can lead to all sort of interesting & less than favorable new handling characteristics. Feel free to look up more info & just research BMW Start Spec tires. You'll see a lot more info into what I'm talking about & on this very same subject matter. I was the one who (originally created this thread) & believe it or not, I know what I'm taking about.

I'm due for tires within a year, so I am making my plan to upgrade wheels and tires (OEM 789M bronze/gold) and started looking at tires. My truck came from the dealer with Michelin PS AS4, which are non star, and the car is CPO, on 20" 764M wheels.

I havent tracked it, and dont know that I will, so from just my experience I can say, in my particular case, having * tires or not made no difference to me. The thing still rides likes like its on rails and even with road crown, there's very VERY little vagueness and play to where it's difficult to experience in a daily drive.

Just my opinion

Pyo do you have pictures on the Dinan springs? Did you choose to go with the handling kit as well?

Did it improve the ride quality? Did you install it yourself? BTW it looks amazing, thanks for the pictures.

Going from the stock contis to PSAS4s made the biggest difference. My last 2 BMWs were on coilovers, so ride quality will be subjective.

Figured I'd ask as anyone that's done the 295 rear upgrade would be in here. I'm looking for a single 295/35 rear tire with more then 5mm thread.

If someone has a old set or one with a nail please pm me. Mine are slightly before the 5mm threshold to get the rim/tire protection to replace them. So looking to see if anyone has a single or set they have swapped out and don't need.

Mods, if this is against the rules please let me know and I'll delete this.

Thank you

I was going to delay this mod until I got some use out of the tires, but…. I crapped out on the tire lottery. My car just got delivered, and my guy sent me a picture.

Hankook Ventus tires. WTH?

LOL! I lucked out and hit the Michelin lottery. Didn’t even know Hankook was an OEM option?!

Wtf! That's like a Rav 4 tire not an X3M tire. Bogus.

I'm planning to lower on Dinan Springs, and I would like to run 255/295

I ordered 15mm & 12mm spacers. Does anyone know if these will fit? Starting to think I got the wrong size

I ran 12mm spacers stock on 255/295 and it was almost perfect. When you lower you will get a little bit of negative camber of around 2-3mm. So if you are lowered 15mm spacers will give you a similar look as 12mm non-lowered. You wont rub lowered or not with up to 15mm spacers.

And none of you guys that are running spacers have diminished ride quality like high speed vibration almost like out of balance tires because that's been my experience unfortunately granted i've only used them once?
