it's all been said i guess...
i used to be a "social smoker" when i was 16-17 (back in France), you know, party with friends, have a few beers, have a smoke or 2, or 3... no big deal... one day, party just started, and i felt like i NEEDED to smoke... that's the day i decided that i shouldnt touch a cigarette anymore, and i'm glad i did... before you know it, you'll be smoking a pack / day... never got the point of smoking... it makes your breath, clothes, room, car smell like SH*T (i can smell a smoker from 10 ft away, makes me sick), it costs an arm and a leg nowadays, you could light up a couple of $ 1 bills everytime you light up a cigarette, it would do the exact same thing... Quit that crap... get drunk instead ! |

I recently quit, 7 days in without a cigarette.
When I would go out drinking with my buddies I would easily kill a pack of Camels in one night. It was awful. Stop while you can man, it certainly doesn't help either if you're trying to get in shape at the gym. |

Take all of the advise from the community bro!
Chill on the cigarets now before it catches up with you. When you find yourself smoking by yourself, its too late. Take it from me and the other smokers here on the forum. I desperately KNOW it's a good idea to stop, but CAN'T. |

i truly believe it is possible for anyone to stop smoking...you just need to be strong mentally.
although i've never smoked and never will. i don't even like to drink...it's almost mandatory to drink at parties and other events with your friends, though. kinda sucks. |

You know it is pretty bad when 9/10 smokers tell you to quit now.

I know you shouldn't smoke for so many reasons, health, money, bad smells etc. bla bla. I am not a smoker but I do like an occasional smoke after good food when I'm out and stuff. So if I'm with the boys after food we might have some shisha but thats about it. That's maybe once a week or sometimes once every couple of weeks. I know its pointless and still harmful but after good food it is nice to have a smoke.
I have very good self-discipline and I would never let smoking become a habit. I'm not really a fan of cigarettes anyway because they stink, I like doing shisha with mad fruity flavours and it doesnt smell bad at all. It actually smells and tastes very good. Just my .02. To the OP, stop now before it becomes a habit. I know that sounds funny coming from me but I'm not really a smoker and I have never touched a drop of alcohol in my life and never would.

I've been casually smoking for about 4 years now...Granted I do go drink around 2-3 times a week in which I'll probably have 6-8 cigarettes a night. Some days during the day I will have a measly one cigarette but sometimes I'll go for 2 weeks without one.

Damn dude, its been 9 weeks already?
To the OP: Fuck cigarettes dude, smoke weed instead. Or do as everyone else said and drink alcohol... as long as you're not an angry wife-beater when you're drunk.

Do yourself a favor & don't continue smoking. I don't smoke, it doesn't look nice or natural and it stinks. Your "friends" will think you're cool for NOT smoking!

Cigarettes make you feel good. Booze makes you feel good. Booze makes you want cigarettes. Cigarettes dont make you want booze. Quit the smokes, keep the booze, get pissed off with out the smokes. Keep the smokes, quit the drink, get pissed off that you cant have a drink. Quit both, and fuck.

i've been a social smoker on and off for about 15 years and i'm not addicted...
oh wait. did i just say 15 years? but seriously you must stop. i am the only person i've ever met who can smoke a pack once or twice a year at a party weekend and then walk away for another 6-12 months without even thinking about it. stop. now. |
