Discount: $6,500
Rebate $1,000
Adjusted Price: $64,390

Which ladies and gentlemen, if my math is correct, (64390 / 71890) - 100%, that comes out to a grand total of 10.433% off, lol.

$152 doc fee, $4105 tax, and $324 registration fees on top of that.

Cannot recommend leasehackr enough, I paid the guy $600 and saved over $6000.
Where did you take delivery? Does the deal go to any dealer?

In Houston, im not sure what you mean by the second question. If you use a car broker they’ll talk to a bunch of different dealers within the area you specified. You don’t know what dealer it will be ahead of time. Could be 5mi or 200mi away, or nationwide if you choose to do so.

Sorry I meant can you take delivery at any dealer.

Aren’t car brokers essentially just relationships at a specific dealer. Id gladly pay 600.00 to someone to save 6,000.

But then if I deliver at a dealer far away and something arises right after delivery- I worry any dealership I’m not a regular at might not follow through.

The broker i used told me the dealer immediately. I had the option of delivery to my home or pick up in SC but that would make delivery longer. I opted for shipping and the dealer complied with no pressure, absolutely no upselling in fact no one even contacted me from the dealer. My only contact with someone from the dealership was to call and see if the car was prepped and ready for delivery. They said yes and I told them the driver would be there for pickup in 2 hrs. That's all the contact I had with the dealer and everything was as the broker mentioned in fact I actually got a better mf rate than anticipated due to some sort of program I wasn't aware of between order and delivery (about 2.5 months).Great experience

BMW dealers cannot refuse to service your X3 just because you didn’t buy it from them. There would be lawsuits all over the place if they conducted business that way. Maybe they won’t give you a free loaner but they can’t refuse fixing your vehicle if it’s in need of repair or warranty work.

In my area loaners are 2-3 weeks out anyway anyway and you book it online. I just plan early for regular appointments if I need a loaner. The service department does not care if you did not buy it from them. I did buy it from them but that only helps with the sales team if I buy the next one from them. In fact the service department will be happy to get a new regular customer. Did this for my Audi last year in the peak of shortage, bought from LA but local dealer in San Jose fixed all the issues.

Dealers make way more money off of service than the sale of the car. They may not want to give you a free loaner (some dealers are weird about that), but I can't see them refusing service or warranty work.

Their service system shows them where you purchased the car. They don’t have the right of refusing you… you’re probably right. But that relationship helps you along the way.

Even more so, the service department wants your business regardless of where the car was sold. The operating goal of a dealership is based on 100% service absorption. That means all the costs of running the entire dealership should be covered with service revenue, so they want the business. Whatever sales contributes to the overall dealership is expected to be profit. I worked at one dealer many years ago and have been customers of others where I did not buy the car. The service guys are rewarded for revenue and don't seem to really care about the sales guys at all, from what I've experienced. They may preferentially hand out loaners to existing customers, but they won't refuse your work. Im just about to start bringing a new X3 I bought from a dealer in another state to my local service department for its ongoing lifespan.

True; I just had a quote for my rear brakes, fluid brake flush. 1200.00 quote. My Indy charged me 350.

I can see why service wants our business.

I recently sold my e91, and prior to sale I took it in for and pcv heater wiring recall. They always give you an inspection of all the things to fix (which I really like prior to selling a vehicle), and the total this time was 5700, 2700 of which was the oil pan gasket, which is pointless to fix on an n52. Anyway, the balance was recommended brakes on all 4 corners (pads and rotors), a set of tension struts, and an oil filter housing gasket. For 3, grand. Lol. Unsure what an indy would have charged, but I would expect half that. Parts was about 700$ from fcp all in.

I wonder if this 9% guy or gal bought an ordered car or a car off the lost. Personally, I find 9% almost hard to believe in this day and age.

Also, the final pricing worksheets I’ve received are a lot longer and more complex than the math shared with us in the person’s post so I am skeptical the deal really worked out to 9% after the broker fee but either way this sounds like a remarkable deal.

The broker I used for both my Z4 and my wife’s X3 is advertising 6.0% off. They also do no add ones and don’t mark up the interest rates/ money factor if you use BMW financing. Was the best and smoothest car buying experience we had. I also found them on leasehacker.

The M40i is still hard to get discounts bec the allocations are limited still for some reason. No issues on the 30i.

I custom ordered my X3 M40i and got a few thousand off before incentives. Still paying almost double compared to my 2020 M40i.

I just noticed BMW financing is now 5.29% after being 4.99% for the longest time. Kinda hard to mark up that 5.29% if you don't want customers to come in w/their own financing.

If dealers continued to add the additional 1%, that 6.29% would actually be higher than Bank of America's current rate for new car loan.

Agreed. When we placed our orders in December and January respectively the rates were lower. But I’m willing to bet a large chunk of the population doesn’t bother to search out their own financing and just takes what the dealer offers. Also, I believe you do have to use BMW financing to get any incentives offered.

Should have posted this over here instead of where I did. The market around here isn't correcting yet. I'm trying to find out what my current X3 is worth to my selling dealer. I asked the salesperson what the BMWFS rate is and if they are budging off of MSRP. The response was 6.2% and MSRP. No movement. She said they can't keep an X3 on the lot. Not that I'm likely to ever buy another BMW. Also got a query into my local dealership.

They got a lot of balls asking for 6.2%! Not very competitive against national bank auto loans and credit unions.

The whole thing about locked and no negotiation off MSRP is rather annoying. If I were stupid enough to buy another BMW it would be my 5th from them since 2014. I would think that would be worth something. Guess not.

The only purchase incentive is $1000 loyalty cash for using BMWFS.

For my other problem, the broken ambient light strip, I've sent an email to BMW customer relations to see if I can get some help. The selling dealership service department is responding with crickets.
