No pre-conditioning app - or any other notable differences outside few changes in wording. BMW Charging app is now working (but doesn't really do anything besides show a QR code and active charging plan name).
One addition I did notice, the distance control for auto drive now has an auto preset, and changes distance to the car in front based on speed and road type

I'm pretty sure I had it before. However, I noticed a difference in the Comfort Access. Now when approaching the car, it lights up from a 5m distance and then unlocks when you're next to the door.

Previously it only unlocked & lit up at the same time when 1m away.

I have this feature on mine and I have not had the recall update and still running 03-2021. It's located under Speed Assistant in the Settings.

Fair enough, I obv just never noticed it before 😂

Comfort access has always turned the lights on for me when it sees the key nearby and the key is moving. Remember the key 'turns off' if not moved for a short time, to try stop proxy attacks on it. If its not broadcasting a lot more difficult to attack it. My lights have always popped on as I walk out my front door and the car unlocks as I get close.

So, had the car booked in for the recall and any software updates this morning.

Dropped the car at the dealer to then receive a call 90 mins later advising that BMW seem to have withdrawn the recall and there is no update that can be completed showing on their system.

Currently trying to find out from BMW what is happening !

My car is booked in for Wednesday for the Front Radar recall which was showing against the VIN on BMW's website.

Just checked the website again and it's now saying that my car isn't under any open recalls What the hell is going on BMW?!

Yes, it is very odd - especially as the recall was showing on their system on Friday when they called to confirm the booking.

Just waiting for BMW to get back to me to explain the situation as to why the recall has vanished! Also, I am not yet on 07/2021 either.

I haven't taken delivery of my car yet, its due this week. But when I checked the VIN yesterday it was showing the recall was outstanding. I've just checked now and it's saying there are not recalls for the car!

It's been with the transporter company since Friday and hasn't arrived at the dealer yet! I wonder if there is an issue with the recall system at the moment

This is what i had with mine. Originally had a recall for the battery issue, spoke to BMW ( a few months back) and they said they weren't aware of the issue but would be in touch if / when it needed to be done. Checked a while later and it wasn't under any open recalls.

Checked again with all this talk of the radar one and it said i needed it (the radar one). Messaged BMW and they've booked me in for the battery and this one!

The system is a complete mess. I'm fully expecting to turn up on Wednesday and for them to tell me theres nothing for them to do. Meanwhile, I'm still stuck on 03/2021 software and no sign of an update

Perhaps they have recalled the recall: unintended consequences perhaps. Solving one problem may have created another. My recall has also disappeared from the system.

Well like I mentioned the self drive since the update is nowhere near as confidence inspiring, so perhaps they are halting, I complained to BMW UK after it, perhaps I'm not the only one, as that recall was for more than just the iX3

So my dealer called me this morning to advise that my car is showing as recall "Completed" now - despite me being booked in for tomorrow to address the supposed recall. The BMW recall website shows no open recalls against my car but the dealer couldn't tell me why the recall was now closed. So I'm now left wondering whether this recall has closed due to issues or because my car has somehow received the fix OTA

Perhaps the recall was just to update the car to the July 2021 version ? Maybe some of the early models didn't have the OTA capability?

My car is still running 03/2021 and they didn't do anything yesterday, so doesn't appear to be just an idrive update.

I'd say DaveCV is on the right lines, the recall created other issues which they are now trying to rectify before potentially releasing the recall again

I had a new M Sport Pro delivered last Saturday and this recall work was completed on the day before. So before BMW pulled it, new LCI cars were showing this recall as well…

I did complain to BMW GB that the recall was completed but their systems still showed it as required and hence the dealer couldn't tax the car... maybe BMW updated everyone's status rather than just mine :-)
