There is a product that you can buy the connects between the pedal and the wire to the computer. It stops the design lag from happening.

For the life of me, I can't remember the manufactures name. But is a aftermarket item.
Sprintbooster. But it does not fix the inherent problem of response. It merely fools the car with a magnified gas pedal input. With the hesitation issue, you can be aggressive with the gas pedal and it simply does not respond.

I fail to see the logic of putting priority of protecting the car over human safety. There are situations where you need instant get go. It can get dangerous if the power fails to deliver when it is expected. It is different if you know you have a low powered car (which is obviously not the case here). You will naturally reduce your expectations with the reduced power response.

Interesting, I did my first oil change at 5000 miles. I recently purchased my m40i in January of 2019. Dealership did a software update for some emmision controls after my oil change. Ever since my m40i has a hesitation when you come to slowing down to make a right or left turn, then accelerate it has a delay response. At the light when you stomp on it, it also would delay for a second then kicks in. This is so irritating!

not an expert on the engine of the x3/x4 but some turbos require some min rev to start to quick in and usually what they do is to disable the turbo until you get to that amount of rpm needed to have efficiency

Had a 2019 m40i for a couple weeks and the throttle response is odd. A few times I have made a right turn from a stop, went to punch it 30-40% and the car just fails to respond. Even in sport mode.
I've also noticed that the engine braking in comfort or sport is pretty jerky despite my best efforts to drive smoothly.

Does XHP address any of these issues?
