Comparing it to the car without DDC that I test drove, I think the comfort mode benefits the most from the dynamic damper control. I feel like the sport could still be sportier, but I suspect they "fixed" that in the m40i model. |

Yes djrobx Dynamic Damper Controls (X4) and DHP (X3) is a Must!
After owning my F25 X3 14' M-Sport DHP 28i (4cyl) but had it tuned for 2yrs, I went to test-drive a 15' X3 35 and X4 35i M-Sport w/o DHP/DDC back to back and then hopped in my car back home =D I knew it felt different! Thank god its standard feature in M40i

Besides no diesel, in the US only "real" M cars get "M" emblems and quad exhaust, with newer ones having the "M" button. Apparently all M Sport cars in Europe get the "M" emblems and are available with diesel. The X4M is similar to the M235 in "M-ness" although it has the same motor as the M2 ( a real M car). I've always found it interesting after seeing all the "M" tagged cars in Europe that \were diesel or lacked quad exhaust. I guess BMW figured out tha the little "M" emblem was a sales booster. I guess that's why all the Ebay "M" emblems sell so well in the US. My M Roadster is a true M car and, in Europe, I believe, my wife's 135i with the M sport option would be tagged as am "M" car. Geeze I guess my 06 X3 3.0 with M Sport would have been an M car in Europe too. Although I love it, I consider my X4M40i to be a 7/8ths "M" car.

I trusted him, and took DDC on my X3, my X4 and now the m40i. But there is a "big" difference of comfort, between the m40i and the X3/X4 35i Msport. |
