There was a homeless guy in China Town (NYC) with multiple arrests/convictions who followed a woman back to her apartment and stabbed her to death recently - as an example. Additionally, there have been a ton of reports of people getting smashed in the head with hammers or pushed on the tracks in the NYC subway system. Of course, you have a better chance of winning the lotto than getting a firearm permit in NYC. A carry permit is impossible to obtain. Keep in mind though, the UK is why we have a second amendment (the right to keep and bear arms). Our founding fathers wanted to make sure we had the ability to fight back against a tyrannical government |

In any event, your choice, not mine. I was simply curious what situation(s) might cause you to carry a weapon.

You have every right not to want to own a gun. I personally want the ability to protect my family/property in the event I am faced with the unthinkable. Do I think it will happen? No. I also don’t think I’ll get into an accident but I wear my seatbelt without fail. Unfortunately crime is not limited to crappy areas and there are tons of examples of this. You just never know. I respect the decision of people who don’t want to own a gun as long as they respect my right to own one. |

It's already been said here, but I respect each persons decisions to own, or not to own a gun... Just don't tread on me and my liberties. No need for nastiness in a thread discussing firearm placement in your own vehicle. If you don't like this topic, move on to the which wax to use thread.
