Boost comes on high RPM now but really is laking below 4k. Ideas? Going to check for boost leaks with a leak tester. Anyone know an easy way to check for vacuum leaks?

I have my factory turbo, I was playing around with it a bit, it had an insane amount of shaft play, could not get the waste shut completely and there was tons of play in the waste gate.
After replacing everything that could cause the issue that wasn't the turbo I was confident that it finally had to be an issue with the turbo itself. I installed a new turbo and was fixed immediately.

Wanted to make an update to this.
New turbo seemed better but I think I placeboed myself and on the first cold start I heard the hiss again and the hiss at low boost. I do not get the noise in high boost and i don't get it under light acceleration in sport modes. Still having the issue. I'll write out everything I've done over the past months to remedy the issue to no avail. New boost solenoid New FTP charge pipes New hose clamps and silicon joiners New turbo New GFB DV New VRSF downpipe Supersprint midpipe New afe intake Inspected and tested for boost and exhaust leaks, none found. Ensured there is no metal on metal contact in the exhaust New downpipe gasket New vband clamps Heat wrapped the downpipe Attempted tuning out the issue If you guys have any suggestions please shoot them my way! The loud hiss makes the car a pain and embarrassing to drive in comfort mode. I've found one other X3 owner with similar mods that has the same symptoms.
