In the US when I build the 35i and Macan S to my liking. The Macan is about $3k more. Definitely worth the extra cash. But with that said, getting a deal on a BMW is a lot easier and lease rates on BMW's are way better.

I'm seeing a bit of the old first gen X3 in the shape of those new headlights. The strange angles on the bottom. Not sure thats a good thing, it wasn't famous for its good looks!

Did you see the price?
Man, the basic model starts from 42k???? They must be out of their mind. Imagine the price of x4 now?

Which SUV for the price is better then new X3? I've test drive most of the SUV at this price and no one near it! Why people complaint of little things like LED rear and minor stuff? X3 has a great handling and power for what it is and its very good on gas.

Loaded X3 looks equally good, drives pretty close (?) and prices out at $70,000 which is a big difference. (Canadian Prices)

Anyone know if BMW Individual is available for the X3 so I can get some decent leather seats?

So as far as exterior changes go, it's:
New headlights New taillights New front bumper w/ new headlight washer covers New rear bumper New wheels New kidney grills New side mirrors New chrome bit on the front fenders where the turn signals used to be. That's quite a bit. No rear LED turn signals is mind-boggling, though. I don't understand why BMW is so miserly with their LED taillights. It feels like a cost of entry for the kind of cars BMW makes and competes with at this point. Just add them across the model line already.

I don't think there is any individual customizations for any BMW that is made in the United States. If you want to get the individual customizations you will have to order something that is made in Germany which is basically anything that is not a SUV.

These are pretty massive changes for an LCI... hell, the entire dash is different. All for the better IMHO... But I still don't like it much compared to other high end smaller SUVs... Q5 and Macan specifically. BMW can do better.

I only say the glossy piece from the 2014 as we drove and ordered one last week, and it had the glossy one. The car we took home for a day did not. |

Incredible changes for an LCI! That interior is pretty much a generation forward! Look at the navi, climate controls, fit and finish, they put all the goodies from the current gen (FXX) into a EXX generation car.
Headlights look amazing and for all you complaining about no LED's... news flash, BMW is done with the dotted LED's! These ARE LED tails, it's just more audi-esque with the glowing tubes illuminated via LED's not the individual dots! Overall really turned the ugly mobile into something much nicer. Not saying I'd buy it but it's a quality vehicle. |

The taillights look to be a carryover from pre-LCI, i.e. not new. The lack of LED brake lights and turn signals is silly and cheap and makes the Q5 look like the more premium product. You don't have to do LED dots, how about including lightbar brake lights and turns signals?
While the front end of the pre-LCI was the worst part of the X3, and the LCI has improved things, I also think the odd angles at the bottom of the headlights detract. They should have replaced the fender, rather than adding a cheap hole cover. |

The GLK maybe cheaper but it is hideous and I rather chip the extra 5 grand for something that looks nice and drives great.

Does anyone else think that the camera below the kidney's looks like a Hitler stash? Other than that, nice, kinda worried about the M-Sport, looking kinda crazy from the one preview picture. M-Sport LCI might not be the way to go, x-line looking really nice, just needs LED headlights!
