Driving class on their track - sit down/classroom, then they give you a driver to work with. It's a lot of fun, especially for spouses, wives, GF's, partners that are NOT gear heads. Having a pro driver expect them to push a car/braking/cornering, etc. At the end - pro driver took me out in an M5 for a hot lap. GF declined that...it was a blast! Lunch after that. GF took delivery of her spectacular alpine X3M40i in the front of plant showroom. I've got pics of her w/ her new car. Was really nice. Leave after that! I live in SC. The fact that it was built here and the performance/quality and treatment in the process locked me and her in. That was our first BMW. We have three now...lol. |

It's free - I want to do this for my X3Mc. My dealer said you can still do it after vehicle delivery. Hope so.

The black rear plastic emblems does not look good on dark colored cars. Go shopping for a silver colored emblem.
The emblems are easy to remove with dental floss. Clean up with paint thinner but be careful with that. It will take off the chrome part of the "competition" part.

M4Lou Just be careful with that large amount of difference between front to rear tire "overall diameters." There should only be a max of 3% from front to rear in order to prevent the differential from heating up. Although it may sound like a funny joke & we're being a little too picky, there's a reason why some tire combo's are not recommended. Take a look at this thread I created for a touch more information to reference. Usually 3 tires sizes wider (or a +3 setup) are the max that's within the acceptable range. Your (current +4) setup on those beautiful staggered 892M factory wheels could easily make BMW deny a warranty claim later. Congrats on your new X3 MC though & really wish I lived that close to where these awesome machines were built.

Yeah Kevin - thanks for the check up. Car came w/ factory/star - 255/40/21's (29") AND 265/35/21's (29.3) I added (non-star) 295/35/21 (29.1") SO: I should have 29 on front and 29.1 on rear, tighter than factory. |

If I could go black car (my BSM) and gray emblems (like the carbon fiber side vents) then I'd consider. Kind of he reverse of what I just mentioned. BUT, no dark gray rear emblems available. Ultimately - I am okay w/ the somewhat sinister look of black emblems on black car. |

Yeah - I am happy with this set up. I posted elsewhere, I tried the 265's (rears) from the factory up front and they did NOT track well. I think it's well understood that the factory fronts and rears are designed to be used that way. My real life experience supports that - hence putting my 255's back up front. Drives/tracks great now.

Having a plus 4 setup is going to add quite a touch more understeer when you're pushing the car hard. That's why you never see BMW ever go more than 3 widths wider on a staggered setup. But in terms of overall diameter, guess that's pretty snug.
