my fuel economy's data was base on "since refueling" instead of "since factory". which means the mpg will reset every time I refuel the car. if your long term mpg number is from when you picked up the car... that's amazing number!

Just get back from a 798 miles return.

One tank of gas each way (399 miles in 6.5 hours) with about 120 miles left in the tank.

Wasn't highways so the maximum posted speed was 55 Mph. I did an average of 61 Mph (70 Mph most of the time) a few 90 Mph while passing.

I got: 7.44km/liter which convert to 31.1 Mpg (US) or 37.9 Mpg (IMP)

Best mileage from any cars/SUVs I ever had.

yes this car is amazing! fuel consumption is better than some supposedly economical SUV!

Keep in mind that the speedometer may be reading 5% fast. So the mpg number on the display isn’t real accurate. Neither is the odometer, so you can’t really calculate your actual mpg.

In my calculation, nothing come from the SAV computer/display.

The distance come from GPSs and the quantity of fuel from the gas pump.

I'd forgotten about the ODO being off too. I think on a future trip I am going to see if my Garmin or my phone GPS total miles numbers are at least roughly the same as what the vehicle tells me.

For me I'm not sure I care that much about the ODO being off a bit. I am mainly just comparing my mileage between my own trips anyway, not with somebody else except in very general terms.

ODO is accurate, speedo is set high on purpose, that is why you can code it to be accurate.

I take road trips to / from texas once or twice a year... I usually go 5 - 10 over the speed limit and use cruise control with eco pro on them... I've seen 34 MPG when I cruise at 75 at times, but that drops to about 30 - 31 when I cruise at 80. I tend to get 26 - 27 when I cruise at 85, so I *try* to limit my road trips to 80 MPH max.
