Yes... OE reference is 52108745038. I will compare prices between some websites and my dealer and choose the best option.

When I have more time I will also show you some of the cheap fake CF pieces that I bought, some of them I have checked that fit in my current X3 without sticking them, so I have some pics of how they look like "installed". Some others pics will be from an X4 M40i of a friend that also has these pieces on it.

Ohh that's so beautiful!! I think the first red one I see in this forum. It's not very common color, I actually have never seen one on the streets!

Ok...so as promised, here you have some of the small cheap pieces I have already bought for the X4:

Silver cover for sunglasses compartment, so it is the same as the big one (I already have it in my X3 so I bought another for X4):

CF covers for lights and microphones (pictures from my friend's M40i:

CF covers for steering wheel, door latches and seat controls (pictures from my friend's car):

CF cover for rear seats control:

More CF covers for rear roof lights and tailgate buttons:

Metal covers for speakers (just tried with some scotch tape in my X3):

Metal cover for door locks (example from a black X5):

I feel I am forgetting something, but here you have some cheap "Aliexpress Performance" parts, just in case you like some.

I'm glad the post was of any use!

I'm also going to upholster the steering wheel like my friend's one (see picture below), using perforated leather and "M" coloured stitching, but I think I will choose red for the center position marker instead of blue like him. There are sooooo many options to choose, so I will see when I visit the shop. Prices is not expensive, less than 200 €.

M rear spoiler and mirrors I have bought them OEM, so they will paint and install at dealer, but I think side vents I will buy them from Aliexpress because they don't need to be painted and installation is very easy. I have these two in my list:

I couldn't find SHIT. apparently there are so many different exhaust systems for the x4m but not for the x4 40m! So I did what every other "logical" person would do. I did a muffler delete. Had done it on my 2015 535 m sport and my 2018 jeep srt and always enjoyed the sound. Happy to let you all know that the sound on the x4 40m is great with the muffler delete. The car pops like crazy now and the sound is much more aggressive. Im about to be hated on for not waiting for an exhaust system!!!
I'm curious to how this sounds! Any sound clips?

Hi,

This is what I did to my G02 today.

Changed the normal carbon fiber mirror covers for the ones M look carbon fiber.

Put a box container with a very nice X4 logo in the top of the inside of the arm rest

And those protections films/stickers leather look for the kicks when you enter or out the car.

Hi, I was wondering if you could expand on how you wrapped those braces?

I just bought a 2020 X4 in December; am located in Japan so we don't have the option of those active kidney grills. I don't necessarily want them, but I do want the braces to be invisible when the car is parked...talked to my dealer about painting them black, but they didn't recommend it.

I don't see any problem on painting them, if it is good quality and resistant to heat, cold, gravel...

Anyway, I believe that X4M braces are painted in black, you can also ask for the reference and buy them, shouldn't be very expensive.

We don’t have active grills either.
Pop the grills out.....it’s easy...there’s a YouTube about that.
Then I bought some carbon fibre wrap from the auto parts store.
Cut it to size........pull the back off and roll the wrap on.

Whole job including putting grills back in too less than an hour

comber Did replacing the emblem to 52108745038 actually work? Can you send us some photos showing the result? Is the new emblem illuminated maybe?

Are they OEM and how much?
Not oem, real carbon fiber pieces that are super thin. They stick onto the existing trim that come pre taped (not cheap thick double sided tape). Exact fit no gaps. Looks amazing!

Costed 700

Autoteknic is the brand
They look great! Does the trim look "raised" since you did not remove the stock pieces?

Well, it all depends on if we have in our M40i's the wires needed for that. It is not like in "old" M3/M4 that emblen has a wire and there is a connector somewhere in the backrest, these new ones have the connector integrated so it is plugged directly in the headrest.

Looking at diagrams, I see a wire in the X3M/X4M headrest that is not present in our cars (marked in red), so I am afraid that we will not have that wire, so to make them illuminate we will have to make something else that just plugging in.

X3M/X4M headrest:

M40i M-Sport seats headrest:

I think it would be very easy to check, just pulling one emblem and looking at the hole... As I am still waiting for the car, I cannot check yet.

Hi. I finally picked up my car on Friday, and installed the emblems a couple of hours ago.

There is no wiring, where it is supposed to be a connection, there's only a hole, but I don't care, result is very good, they change completely the seats.

I put some pics, sorry for the poor light but I was in my garaje.

Not really... first one took me a while as I was afraid of breaking something, but second one took just 30 seconds. Obviously you have to force it, I used a couple of plastic tools and no problem.
