attached is my build sheet. it'll be Carbon black over coffee brown merino, aluminum tetragon trim (I might change that to the metallic brown or stainless woven one after looking at then again).

Opposite X5 (E70) to X4.
X5 was... Too big Ate too much gas V8 cost more to repair, e.g. twice as many valve cover gaskets My X4 actually feels roomier than X5 That said my X5 had all the "active" suspension bits and I drove it as aggressively as my M2. Besides the active dampers which the X4 has it had the active sway bars which kept the X5 flat around turns! |

Looks like BMW calls it Active Roll Stabilization (ARS) now. My E70 had Adaptive Drive, but could have sworn it was a combination of three options. Anyway it was absolutely amazing. I took corners at speeds that I shouldn't have been able to and the car was absolutely flat (no body roll). You'll love it. I averaged 14/15 MPG and 18 MPG HWY. |

Edit: I just compared the M3 to the 340i on the build site and the M3 does have more luxury options, from leather and trim to things like Icon headlights and power sun shades. I would assume the X3M will have a bit more as well, though it will still be the same general package. There are rumors it will get the new digital dash and iDrive. |

The Cayenne isn't much bigger than the X3 is it? My mother-in-law has one and our X3 feels the same.

Looks like a beautiful spec. But why would you go after this one instead of waiting for the new, more badass V8 in 2020? And more importantly, I think, would be that I've seen several 2018 X5M's with less than 8000 miles selling for $80-90K. Your Spec looks to be Mid-90K at MSRP. I can't imagine you'll get that down further than $87K... |

The interior has much less black glossly areas unless you're including the gear shift area but it's more of a clear type material that looks better. |

I am doing the opposite, going from a QX80 to an X3 M40i. I've owned both an X3 and X5 and, for me, both come with their own advantages and disadvantages. In the end, I was willing to trade luxury for driving excitement. The G01 is a much different X3 than my E83, on the interior, so I don't think I'll be sacrificing as much luxury as past generations.

I saw them today when picking up my car. The new one x5 50i, with M Sport looked super nice. Wheels were the 21" and super nice. Inside? perfect.
I still wish it wasn't the rectangular exhaust shape...but that can easily be changed. Curious how it'll drive in comparison to ours. |

When word got out that there would be no X5d (which here in the US was based on the 30d I think?) they backpedaled a bit and said "No final decision has been made". In the US they are moving full speed ahead with electrification, so I suspect that everything that was a "d" will be fully replaced by plug in hybrids (like the announced 45e). Too bad though, as the 50d sounds like the perfect X5. I love our X5d (F15) we currently have. Good acelleration, and almost 30 MPG and we dont try to drive it to get good MPG, we "drive it" |

So they went the cheap route with the bumper cover and that way even though the exhaust tips won't be even, most would never notice it. I have yet to see an M40i where both sides are even. The left outlet tends to hang a bit higher than right. |

I'm not sure why they do the circular exhaust into that rectangular piece. Less work maybe than fitting the exhaust into that? Not sure. |
