Do you guys know what's the greyish seal around the part (side vents)? I will be using a replacement (X3M style from ebay) and I want to apply similar seal, to make water doesn't get in.

It's some sort of squishy foam/seal. I touched it when I took it off.
I'm planning to use a replacement part, so won't be an exact match. Based on the pictures, it doesnt have the grey foam around it like the OEM. Last edited by maxver; 05-23-2024 at 12:51 PM.. |

By “replacement part” do you mean not from BMW ? If so, ask the supplier. The fenders are Aluminium so a bit of water won’t affect it. |

Not worried about the fenders, although on the left side of the X3, there's one cable running inside of the fender, so I figured the seal/foam is there for a reason. I will probably take the part out, go to home depo or some auto store and ask around if they have something similar. |
