I installed the black kidney grills today...I actually modified the black grills and used the original ferric gray inserts since I thought the all black was a little too dark...
Also added the "M" fender badges... |

+1 on the ///M fender badges. That was (also) my immediate mod.

Thanks for the feedback...planning my next modification now. I am thinking of going with 15mm spacers on front and back...not sure if I will wait until I swap the summer wheels back on or add them to my winter setup.
I have the summers wheels (original 20's) getting powder coated matte black now so they will be set for spring. |

Small world, I asked you about your wheels when I was leaving proformance. You picked the best place to powder coat them. I just did mine gloss black and love them.

I remember, it is a small world. I will be picking them up later next week. I have only heard good things about Proformance so I am looking forward to seeing them.

Proformance Industries in New Rochelle. I think the rate is dependent on wheel and finish but they were in the ballpark of other local places. They have a great reputation which was important since I don't want to ruin my factory wheels.
I think the normal turnaround time is 2-3 days. |

Looks like Satin Black ? Very nice
I'm considering doing Gloss/Wet black if I do Powder Coat it.

It's Proformance's matte black. It has a little more shine then some other matte blacks I have seen. The only concern with gloss black wheels is they will show more scratches from cleaning. I had that with a previous car and also notice it on my M3 replicas.

That gloss coat makes it look like the paint is wet is so shinny, very nice.
I've ordered the same ext. color as you, but with a white leather interior. - Harmon Sound system. - Cold weather package. - I don't care for the driving assist so I didn't apply that to the order. It works great, but not for me. - A lot of other options too. Going to be a few months... |

I put the summer wheels on a few weeks ago...here they are with the new finish...
I will be putting spacers on this weekend or next depending on when they arrive. I am going with 17.5mm in the rear and 12.5mm in the front. Will post another picture when done. |
