Appreciate denniss contacting me in a PM to share the weights of his winter set-up which I found in a thread. His data is now entered into the known list, which is up to 33% of 52 combinations.
Still trying to dive deep into threads looking for more combinations, but if anyone knows of any I've missed, even if you don't know the weights - feel free to post here so it can at least be added to the pending list for others to consider when they're researching wheel/tire combinations. |

Up to 65 wheel/tire combinations with 28 of those (43%) having estimated weights. Still missing wts on a number of great combinations, and I can't go any further with total estimations without knowing the wheels (most of the tire wts can be found online).
So if anyone can assist with their 'pending list' wheel (or combined wheel/tire) weights - much appreciated. |

Finally I have taken the time to take some photos of my winter setup before installing it on my X3M.
The wheels are 9x20 ET28 Dotz Tanaka Black and the tyres are Michelin X-Ice Snow SUV 255/45 R20 (square setup) No chance to weigh them but according to the official websites, the wheels weigh 14,16kg each and the tyres weigh 14,24kg each. Total weight for all 4 wheels+tyres is 28,4kgx4=113,6kg PS: Keep up the good work Max! |

Per BBS' site, the wheels are 37lbs. (https://bbs.com/en/product-details/SX) Per TireRack, the tires are 30lbs. (https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...omCompare1=yes)

Thanks, BrockDM. I've pursued other missing weights from the BBS-usa.com and BBS.com sites, so appreciate the heads-up on their excellent site specs. Now only if Vossen, HRE, Vorsteiner, ... would also share specific weights for each width/diameter of wheel like BBS does. |

Up to 75 wheel/tire combinations with 56% having known or estimated weights. Had no idea when I started this project there would be that many!

Appreciate BC Forged sending an image of my new wheels before they were shipped from the factory, along with their official weights. I'll add post-install pics later.
BC Forged Monoblock RZ05 Gloss Black in OEM wheel sizes: Ft 21x9.5 +31 (weight 25.5 lbs) and Rear 21x10 +39 (weight 25.1 lbs). Machined for OEM BMW caps and anti-slip knurled bead seats front and rear. Appears to save 44.8 lbs unsprung weight (using the extrapolated 765M weights spta97 and r33_RGSport obtained) - 217.2 lbs vs OEM 262.0 lbs . As my main goals are weight-savings and performance, I wanted to stay within the wheel/tire settings M Engineers felt minimized aerodynamic drag and keep the OEM offsets and lighter PS4S widths. Will be interesting to get some new data at the Strip to see if my numbers improve based on this change. |

New wheels installed. Although I'm biased knowing the unsprung weight savings (~45 lbs), handling and performance def seem improved. I plan on getting formal numbers at the Strip, but whether that supports my gut feeling or not, I'm really impressed with them. I'll add some images after I give her a wash.
As an aside, while cleaning my old OEM 765M wheels noted they were made by Ronal (consistent with their history of producing products for various Mnfrs). Also, sharing an image of the knurled bead seats I ordered on the RZ05. I wasn't that familiar with the concept before ordering so in case others are in the same boat - this is what they look like. |

Thanks, BrockDM - with all the black I thought the traditional OEM center caps would add some highlights.
With appreciation to BC Forged NA's Staff for providing the missing HCS02 wheel weights (in a personal communication 17 Nov 2022) for DKX4///M's and Jayf97's combinations so I could move them to the 'known' list. Another image from yesterday - |

Documentation of BMW OEM 765M wheel weights – I weighed the four 765M wheels (without tires). As they’re cast some weight variation was present, so I averaged the 21x9.5 +31 to get a standardized value of 36.4 lbs and the 21x10 +39 of 36.2 lbs which will be the ‘reference’ values used in non-weighed combinations.
Using these 765M averages and the RZ05 weights direct from BC Forged, it appears the Michelin PS4S 255/40 are actually closer to 29 lbs than the Mnfr’s listed of 28. For uniformity though, as so many of the combined weights in the list are estimated using Mnfr data, I’ll continue to use Mnfr numbers where available. And it is confirmed that the RZ05 provide 44 lbs unsprung weight savings c/w the OEM 765M, or roughly 1% of curb weight. |
