Day Laborer must get 50 inquiries a day for M3/M4 allocations and fills empty slots at various dealers before the rest of the sales team even realizes they have them.

M4 was never as popular and I don't think BMW produces as many of these for that reason.

Last year around this time I had driven my M4 for a year, put 10,000mi on it and sold it for $3k more than I paid for it. No other time in automotive history could I have done that or would it have made sense to sell a car after only driving it for a year.

Kindly let me know. BTW, I spoke to my local dealer this morning that laughed when I mentioned my broker said we should get 3-5% off MSRP on a new M40i. Perhaps that's because of where the dealer and I are located? In any event, I would love a response to my email when you have time.

Your best bet in MD is to contact Passport BMW. I got 6% off last Aug. for an M40. You might not be able to get that much now but they normally give good deals.

+1 for Passport. I'm in Ohio and got my last 2 cars through Nathan Tibbetts there with great service. The first was via Dan (OP here) to Nathan. The GM Ian Lawyer was also amazing and helped make up for the crap that BMW corporate put me through with my M8.

It's a weird market for sure

we actually need retail buyers to pay close to sticker so dealers will allow brokers to give some away to hit numbers.

It's a fine balance, but I would say a lot of unsuspecting retail customers still think paying MSRP with a marked up rate is a good deal

Damn, that’s nuts, I’m located on the east coast, so there’s no incentives or discount on X3M anymore? What should I target during negotiation? I ordered an X3M Competition towards the beginning of this month, the vehicle is currently in production for June delivery; the dealership offered 2k off in incentives or rebates I’m not sure which one, what else should I target for a better deal? They also said I can use my corporate sales program discount. I’m also debating whether leasing or financing at the moment, can you please help with your expertise in this field.
