Be odd to have it on a 2020 X4MC (with id6) but not on the newer ones with id7.
However your posts are making me doubt myself so I'm going to check mine tomorrow and test it out by pouring water on the rain sensor after car has been locked. Have you guys checked the BMW Drivers Guide app? I just searched "roof" and it was one of the search results… Anyway I'll report back after my testing |

You're 5/8's unaware.... That's only a little more than half ... Never, that I know of, has anyone with an $80K+ car leave their windows/sunroof open & walk away with it exposed to the weather...

Well I guess every thread needs their asshole. Thanks for filling that role.

Just tested this function out and it works perfectly.
Locked car, poured water on windscreen sensors, and sunroof closed (to raised position). Brilliant. Crazy how some features appear to be country specific although it sounds like you guys over in US get remote engine start on the LCI, not sure if it's available in UK. |

It dried out after a few days and went back to normal. I think there is an option now in the Idrive settings and/or in the app to auto close the sunroof after a period of time. That option wasn’t there when this happened to me.

Yes, you can!
We do not get the option here in the US, but you can code it easily. This should enable the option in idrive. There is a ton of functionality you can can enable with some relatively simple coding. FDL Coding: “Roof function center” FZD2 1D93 Regenaktiv aktiv FZD2 1D93 Regenaktiv_robust aktiv FZD2 1D93 StatusRCTime Defaultwert HU_MGU REGEN_SCHLIESSEN aktiv FDL to close sunroof rather than tilt when it actually closes: FZD2 --> 1D93--> set "Regenposition" to "geschlossen" |
