My 2021 F40 may work differently, but check that you have pressed the AUTO button on the main light switch. The indicator light in the switch should be lit. Then press the lower button in the indicator stalk, to select the clever stuff. It should all work every time unless you change anything. I leave mine alone and never have to reset it. Later models remember that settings but not with old one. My 2019 does not remember it, but 2021 does.

I have a BMW 30E(2020) with M-package but in the HUD its displayed as Sportline not as M Sport. I've tried to change the TRIM_LINE option but doesn't really work, only if I select XLine option.
Also, I've tried to replace my eDrive logo from instrumental cluster but no success to change it to M.


Any advice?

Anyone know if it’s possible to code DRLs not to activate when the light switch is set to parking lights only (position 2)? The manual indicates that’s an option in some markets but apparently not default in my US market car (LCI). I can turn DRLs off entirely in iDrive but I’d rather not.

Is it possible to change the volume knob speed? I feel like to I have to rotate it too much to quickly get the volume up/down.

Don't you have +/- buttons on your steering wheel? On my F40 they work much faster than the volume knob.

Tested them last night — they do work faster, but sometimes you're looking for that analog twist!..

Same here. Plus my passenger uses the knob to lower the volume too. Can't have them reaching for the steering wheel.

I saw on obdeleven that there were an option to activate driving assist view through coding, i guess there is an option on bimmercode also, although it thosn't shown at website, does anyone know?
If it's possible, do i need the driving assist professional, or is it enoght with driving assistent, acc with stop/go and park assist?

Has anybody had any luck coding LED door handles to light up on reverse? Earlier in this thread I saw Fembody 3070 OVT_BEI_RUECKFAHRLICHT but couldn't find that value. I found something similar in the BDC_Body (says RUECKFAHRLICHT at the end) but it doesn't seem to do anything. Does this not apply to the x3's?

EDIT: Stephen @ Bimmercode replied today that there is no ETA on supporting the updated KAFAS. =\

It would be even better with carpet lights on in reverse. But I dont think these options ever found out yet.

So each set of two makes up one of the settings in your iDrive. Bronze/bronze, for example is the first set iDrive selection. It makes up byte 1 and 2. The table on the left is what each color’s byte value is.

What I did was make my white/blue white on the bottom and blue on the top. I also made my bronze/white into bronze/blue.

I don't think you can as it's app based and needs backend activation at BMW (paid option or annual subscription), assuming you already have the necessary hardware.

No idea.

On iDrive 7 SP18, assuming Drive Recorder wasn’t purchased as a option from new, it can be activated by BMW remotely if your car has the appropriate hardware, and you pay BMW a fee to activate it via Connected Drive.

It’s an app based solution in iDrive 7 SP18.
