Just curious, were both C_HBA_ENA and C_HBA_GFHB_ENA set to disabled when you went there?
For me one was on and one was off initially. IIRC GFHB was enabled but HBA was disabled.

I think BC makes a full backup of whatever is in that module but don’t know for 100% sure.

Gotcha. I don't have the LCI so it's under a different LaMaster (2 i think). Haven't looked at it yet since last year but I believe GFHB on mine was the one disabled.

you only need to use one method of coding

bc on ios will make a back up for you.
bc can enable anti dazzle

after coding make another back up so if you ever need to restore them it's a simple thing to put your changes back

Yes...you are correct, all you do is two "enabled" for for the Anti Dazzle to take effect, that's it.

Great! It's been months since the last time I looked at it. I should have some spare time on it later today. Will edit this post accordingly.

Edit: ContactPatch Sure enough, HBA_ENA is already enabled, GHFB wasn't. I did enable it since I was already on that screen but still didn't work. It may need more than just those 2 parameters to work on pre-LCI. Might also need esys.

You're not wrong: this specific coding (Anti Dazzle) instruction is intended to work for the BMW X3 2022+ model years only.

I believe it was under #2 when I tried (I have a 2020 pre-LCI) - nothing worked though with this coding to unlock anti-dazzle. Good luck - if you do it pls let us know how 🤓

I think that's what I gather the last time, that's why I didn't bother to proceed. I also have the 2020 but screw that, coding it in later.

Edit: md_m40i just an update, it didn't work as expected. Coded other stuff while I was at it.

hi guys, been thinking about coding some things on my new-to-me 2022 x3, specifically to start being able to close the tailgate from the fob. I managed to find a e-sys 3.3 and psdzdata 4.46, but i don't see g01 in the target list when i open the application, plenty of other models though. is there a specific version of psdzdata that i need to find or do i just select another project number?

thanks

The BimmerCode App is only $30.00 . Well , that’s what I paid for it a couple of years ago. So worth the $30.00 .

Here in Canada it's $75

lol probably shouldn't be whining in the context of the cost of the car but all I want to do is enable VIM and turn off the damn seat belt warning

Edit: I bought it but I did so begrudgingly 😭

With video from USB enabled, is there a way to use a smart phone as a storage device, or does it need to be a thumb drive?

I think it’s also nice to support developers that make useful apps so… you did something nice as well!

I suppose. The price seems steep and almost exploitative but maybe I'm just too cheap.

On the positive side, mission accomplished

For some reason auto on/off and remote tailgate close don't work despite coding properly but at least I can watch my shows while im waiting around in parking lots.

Also did the 60% mirror tilt, got rid of the seat belt acoustics, and increased rear view cam shutoff time.

Appreciate any feedback on must-haves beyond those!

I'm sure this has been covered somewhere on this forum many times, but since you just did it — how do you play videos on the infotainment screen?

I enabled Video via usb in bimmercode > headunit > video settings (can also enable video in motion if you want passengers to be able to watch during road trips, but this is probably illegal if you're in NA.)

Once those have been coded, you can slot a usb stick into the cup holder, hold down the media key to select that drive and you'll be able to play the videos on it.

There are no play/pause functions but you can seek from the touch screen. It's not elegant but it works.

I haven't been able to find any way to usb-c into my phone (with phone set to file sharing). It seems to only support the thumb drive thus far.

Thanks so much! I actually noticed (last time I was coding) that I already have that enabled (not in motion, but might if I have a long trip come up). So it's that easy? Wow, gonna try this.

I don't think the USB-C plugs are connected to anything that syncs, but I could be wrong. Have you tried to use your phone via the same USB-A plug?
