Finally got around to install the SST valve controller that I bought few months ago. Was thinking of setting it up from the battery cavity but got lazy and installed into the space behind the right rear wheel which seems to be nicely protected. Ran it under the heat shield by removing few bolts.

I had a dashboard rattle from the passenger side A pillar that was present from day one, driving the car off the showroom floor. I brought it in twice for service, and they tightened the typical washer reservoir in the front passenger wheel well and added all sorts of vibration-dampening tape, but the problem persisted. I gave up because they wanted to remove the whole dashboard, and I didn't trust them to do that without dinging my gorgeous interior, particularly after the lead tech had a nervous giggle when I asked him if that would cause me more problems.

However, after a few years, I finally decided to fix it myself! Out came the toolbox, and let me tell you, it got fixed and only required the glovebox to be removed, which is literally eight screws and two electrical connectors for the sensor and LED.

It was the passenger side HVAC duct, which is hung by some plastic clips from the dashboard top. All the clips were fully seated, but there was still 2-3mm of play that rattled like a tin can with coins over every bump, and, god, the cobblestone roads. Screw the dealer; a nice clean microfiber cloth folded over four times, and it is rock solid and rigid.

I can't explain how peaceful the silence is. This goddamn rattle haunted me for 3+ years. If this post comes up in a search for a fellow victim, don't make the same mistake waiting... it's an easy fix.

A long read for one man, a glorious win for another! God bless!

I'm glad you finally fixed this spucktacular Bet the only regret you have now is not fixing it sooner. LOL I know first hand how annoying & frustrating a small rattle can be. This goes to show that if you want it done correctly, often times fixing it yourself is the best solution.

Brought to Schomp BMW. They sent the ecu out for unlock. Took about a week turn around. They installed the heat exchanger and bushing kit. Have some NVH, but not a ton. Haven’t done a full launch let. Still weary from snapping my diff bolt. The max power I can get with 100 octane is 728 at the crank right now. I live in CO a mile above sea level, so it’s just about all 91 out here. (Acts like 93). But you do lose some power at this elevation. Will take it down to AZ at some point and see what I can pull for a 1/4 mile and dyno it.

Do you have part number for these OEM+ (front negative camber hubs) & how much "extra" camber did it provide you... ?

Sorry for the delay, apparently my notifications are going to spam now.

The set cost around $2200 and took about 6 weeks.

Yes - front camber correction hubs, oem BMW part nos as follows:-

1 x NSF minus hub 31218090559;

1 x OSF minus hub 31218090560;

Added additional 0.5deg negative camber both sides, when CW lowering via MSS nets about -2deg upfront both sides.

With fast road geo car EPS feels more agile / responsive. Next upfront will be upgrading m’ball bushings for UCA/TS and hopefully LCAs too.

I've been debating on those new hubs. And wondering if I'll notice the extra -.5% of negative camber up front. Can get them for about $400 USD each. Then labor + re-alignment of the front axle too I'm assuming. Do you remember what the shop quoted you (in terms of labor hours) for the install of the hubs alone... ?

installed carbon fiber brake duct thingys from RW Carbon. they’re cheaper on Aliexpress but ship times were longer and the price difference wasn’t that huge. Got the RW ones with Memorial Day coupon and shipment was quicker.
