Yes, she rides very nicely with these, which are non-runflats. I have a Slime tire repair kit in the trunk storage in case of a flat. Very grippy tires; I would never have been able to get to the top of my steep driveway with all of the snow and ice with the all-seasons.

After picking mine (m40i - Phytonic Blue/Oyster) on Saturday, drove it to church yesterday, then spent some time yesterday going through every menu on iDrive and setting things up...programming my memory buttons, setting my XM favorites...then moving into the vehicle... Things like charging cables, microfiber cloths (used to wipe the dash at red light or the inside of the windshield), umbrella, billy club, etc...
Then installed the all weather mats from my 2016 x3 and determined I can live with the fact that they fit good but not perfect...in fact the cargo mat in my opinion fits better than the one made for the G01... The only one that really needs a small amount of modification is passenger front. Finally I coded the thing using Bimmercode. That was pretty easy... Did A.S.S, legal disclaimers, Alpina gauges, Rolls Royce sounds, and reduced volume of audible confirmation on lock. (These changes required me to have to reprogram the memory buttons because I coded the headunit). Then I took the owners manual in the house and read about half of it before I could not keep my eyes open anymore. Only thing I forgot to do was program homelink. And I need to re-install my dashcam at some point. |

I got my X40i in June and shortly after joined the forums. so I decides to get myself a few Christmas presents. I just got a DME Tune Stage 2 and BMS intake and did the bimmercode app coding. I attached a video of a 4th gear pull from 60 to 105. What do you think.

what an awesome surprise. TIRE RACK delivered my winter set up early!!! they were awesome to deal with, great customer support, would highly recommend them for anyone looking at a winter set up or summer set up. Will definitely return as a customer.
never had winter tires until now, the ride is noticeably different! a lot softer which I assume is due to the side wall height and different rubber compound. anxious to try them on snow and ice, plan on going to west virginia for skiing soon...anyway, I bought sparco wheels in flat black with michelin xice. love the look. changed the look of the car. |

Washed and applied Angelwax H2Go. Very easy to apply, now I have to wait for some rain if it was worth it.

yea man, they actually fit around the brakes. for winter curbs and potholes, 18 is the way to go to get those large sidewalls. I would have went 17's if I could lol. they look BEAST in person.
fatboy slays the speed bumps and pot holes now, very plush. thanks, but I just hand wash it. just use good products, 2 buckets, pat dry. nothing special. laser wash between hand washes. I am doing a cquartz ceramic coating in a couple weeks before we head to the mountains. good buffing compound and my porter cable and some patience. MAYBE a ppf on just the fronts if I'm feeling frisky. |

Just installed my winter wheels
These weren't my first choice for wheels, but selection was limited as I purchased the vehicle late in the year. But they are growing on me now that I see them on the vehicle.

Personally, if I seen any BMW driving down the road in winter climates on expensive forged wheels like BBS, HRE, Signature, etc. I would think he is quite dumb myself. But hey some people have more money than brains now a days. |

However, because I picked up this vehicle late in the season, there was only one OEM winter tire package that was actually in-stock, and it came with a non-performance set of winter tires. Cost was $7,200 CAD. The wheels and tires that I purchased came to a total of $2,700 CAD, or about 1/3rd of the price. In my opinion, having an OEM wheel on this vehicle is not worth the $4,500 difference. |
