Turnsignals is not possible with digital clusters.

Yes, you can add limit.

How do you change the speed limit info to white circle with red outline on US models?

Is the limit sign in the expert mode?

Hi, after I made few coding, I realized that the X3 picture shown on the vehicle display is changed to x-line instead of the original m-sport picture. Does anyone know how to change back to the m-sport model picture?

Gear Display

Hello, is it possible to code which gear you're in when driving in Comfort Mode? Eg. D2, D3. When in sport or manual it shows S3 or M3, but how about in just regular drive mode as I'd like it to display D3.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

VO code back to factory if you do not know what you changed.

Other stuff I don't remember
I recently tried coding for the first time using the Bimmercode app on iOS and vgate bluetooth adapter. It was mostly successful and easy, except that I couldn't find or figure out the following:

1. Rolls Royce sounds - It was not available in the "simple" HU_NBT (HeadUnit) ECU sub-menu. The audio options I saw were BMW, BMW i, and Mini. I was able to find the RR ringtone in expert mode, but not the other sounds/gongs/chimes and parking sensors.

2. Disable seat belt warning - Not sure if this is available, but I saw a post somewhere here which mentioned "CAFD_00001B29" but I don't know where that option is.

3. Change angle of passenger side mirror dip on reverse - I saw the following note somewhere on this thread: "BDC_BODY Module: 3110 > ASP_BORDSTEINAUTOMATIK_DELTA." However, I don't see the BDC_BODY module anywhere.

Any help or insight to any of the above would be greatly appreciated.

A few thoughts so far on things that were successfully coded:
1. Recall last ASS setting - Love it!
2. Close boot on remote - Nice little feature, but haven't needed to use it practically yet other than to confirm that it worked.
3. Alpina display - To be honest, I thought I would like it more than I do. I'll likely change it back to default. The blue is too distracting.
4. Disable legal disclosure warning - Nice simple change. I've already forgotten that there was ever a warning screen in the first place until now when trying to remember what changes I made.
5. M animation on iDrive screen - Pretty cool. Again, it's a small change that's insignificant overall, but still nice.

Overall, I wish there was more guidance around for various items in expert mode though.

Edit: post updated on 1/4/19

I read in another forum that BMW removed the Rolls Royce sounds from later production cars.

EDIT: Just coded my 10/18 production X3 to have Rolls Royce sounds with help thanks to user mde83.

You can definitely code the rolls Royce chime sounds in BimmerCode using expert mode. I just did it about 2 weeks ago. I posted the items that need changing on some thread around here but I’m having trouble finding it

EDIT: found it

In Bimmercode, under expert mode:

For the chimes:
HEADUNIT
-----3002 AUDIO_TUNER_TRAFFIC
----------SOUND_SIGNAL_SET
---------------ROLLS_ROYCE

For the ringtone:
HEADUNIT
-----3003 TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE
----------RINGTONE
---------------RR

Yes. But you have to have the Digital Display option.

EDIT:
That's a Digital Display. It's FULL Digital, not half Plastic:

Totally agree with you on that one.. want to reduce that heat. Feels really great at first.. but then I end up turning it off.

Just wondering if anyone tried the OBDLink LX Bluetooth with bimmercode? Just ordered it hoping it would work good with my Samsung S7 (saw bimmercode list it as one of the recommended ones). I thought about getting the Veepeak OBDCheck, but this looks a bit better even though more money.

I can confirm those two parameters do indeed set the rolls Royce sounds. Don’t know why bimmercode removed the easy way to enable it... but in expert mode it’s fairly simple.

Am I reading this correctly that you can’t close the trunk with the key as standard? Is this a region specific setting? My last three non-BMWs in the UK have all had the ability to close the trunk with the key.
