What did you do to your G01 X3 today?

I need to double check to make sure I kept all the original parts but if I do have them I'm open to parting out some of the gloss black bits. The spoiler would be a massive pain in the ass to remove with all the 3M tape that is on there, have no interest in trying to remove it! The front lip could probably come of fairly easily but I think shipping would be expensive. Are you referring to the boomerangs up front when you said front bumper pieces? If so, those things are all full of chips and dings from all the rocks/debris on the freeways here.

Finally coded out the ASD using Carly. Was surprised at the number of other vehicles it had listed that you could select to mimic the sound. But having it off is soooooooo much better. I quite enjoy having a much quieter cabin, especially in Sport Plus mode. Keep all the noise outside the vehicle where it belongs lol.

Received the rear mat from weathertech. Unrolled it on the patio table, put some pieces of 2x4 to hold it somewhat level for a few hours. Then installed (yeah, whatever that means) for the wife. I told her "Now I can take the BMW to go fishing, pick up garden bagsof dirt, wood, take the dog to the beach" IF looks could kill. . .

No, this one is a knock off from Aliexpress. Fitment is just OK but I do like the overall looks of it.

I didn't see any that accommodated the hitch at the time of purchasing but that was a while ago so they may now have versions out that do.

Could not decide in WeatherTech or Canvasback, decided to go with both. The Canvas back for the dogs, and WeatherTech for when I'm in the good stuff, hunting, Army duty, etc. The older dog needs a little help getting in, but the GSD jumps right in. 2 weeks in, ready for the break-in period to be over!

Last I checked my specific seller didn't sell them anymore but there are a bunch on Aliexpress or eBay still. Just search for the G01 gloss black rear diffuser or spoiler and you'll likely find them.

It was a demo that I got 1 year after delivery (5 Dec 20). From day 1, I had all kind of glitches that had no relation between each other as well as the Tilt Down Mirror not coming back no matter you try except using the joystick. Also the Remote Service only work 3 times out of 100 tried.

I had the car in twice in for the mirror problem and like magic they could not replicate the problem. The second time, I try it in the shop and it work... I left the shop, drove around the building, park and went in the see my sales men. When I left put the car in reverse, mirror go down, put in in drive and the fuchen mirror stay down. Drove back to the shop and got the shop foremen out. After spending 20 minutes in the car trying to figure out what was wrong, he gave up. I told him that there was something wrong with the software. He said no unless I had an Over the Air Update... Really SP15 with 2019 software!!!

So I book another visit and told them to have BMW America authorized a Software Update because I had enough of this crap.

So I took the car in yesterday and today I got a call that everything is working. They replace the right mirror (not sure about that) and update the software. Sure enough everything is working. So far I notice 4 different thing with this update.

That must be Idrive 7? I took mine in to have them update the software because I didn't like the delay my audio had when playing from my phone. Didnt matter what app I was using. Youtube, amazon music, itunes, they all delayed probably a second when either pausing or skipping. Even playing a game the sound was delayed from my actions. So they updated the software but it did nothing. Carplay in general seems very screwy. Sometimes when its connected the car wont let me select it in the media menu only for it to randomly pop up to whats playing a few minutes later. Has to be my biggest and one of very few complaints on this car so far. Mines a 2019 so it still has idrive 6 unfortunately. But even when I connected to carplay on the loaner cars they still had a very small delay. Not nearly as bad though. I imagine since its this slow now, its only going to get slower processing wise over time.

Yes, early iDrive 7 with July 2019 software (writen in 2018).

From the work order; "Connect battery charger, ISID tester and fault memory, fault 03179A is stored for functional limitation Apple CarPlay and device connection".
