I would like to for US models for 2018 BMW X3 - the digital dashboard or Digital custer is standard or it is part of some package. I have been to a BMW dealership and some people say its standard in all US model for BMW X3 and some say its part of Executive package. Can someone please clarify. I am specifically ask when you switch between different modes the digital cluster changes its appears and options. Is it standard?

Please advise.

no. not standard. i believe there are 3 instrument clusters - the basic (the very basic 30i)

the one in the video below - at 18:58 minutes AND the 12.3" Dynamic Digital Instrument Cluster (part of the Executive package)

I am wondering which one i will get Basic or the one in the video below - at 18:58 minutes. I am defintely not looking to order an executive package. If you are not getting the Executive package, you are getting the partially-digital instrument cluster shown at 18:58.

If you get the Executive package, you will get the "fully-digital" instrument cluster shown in this video at 8:12:

Does partial cluster display different colors when you switch between modes for example from economy to comfort and then to sport. Wondering if it displays different colors like fully digital cluster then it won’t matter much. Anything else do you think I may miss from fully digital cluster standpoint since I am not buying executive package.

The speed/tacho gauges do change, but not w/ the basic model. (I'm guessing the center display (w/out nav) would show what mode you're in, and there might be a small "SPORT" "COMFORT" "ECO" displayed on the basic screen.

On the other two, yes they change based on which mode you're in.

It's not a great deal. That's $3,857 off retail. The two dealers here, one offered me $6,500 off, the other, $8,500. There are several people here doing even better.

Bottom line, off the M40i @ retail $64,275 I'd expect at lest $7k off.

I got a decent deal but always feel like I could do better. My car listed for $65k and sell price was $56k before taxes and fees. Had dealer discounts of $5500 and $3500 in rebates - $2k from Costco and $1500 from BMW. This is Bay Area in California and car was already on lot.

Reading here in the forums and talking to others seems like lots of discounts going around on the x3. Must be some heated competition going on in this segment.

Looks like you guys got a lot better deal than me in many of these posts. I got a fully loaded (minus Apple Car Play) M40i in Alpine White with the Cognac interior and 20" staggered wheel setup. I think the MSRP was $65800 or so and I got it for $59750 plus TTL. But I don't regret it one bit.
