Ok, so my '20 X3mc has collision warning, but still no recalibration was performed. The '18 X1 did not have that feature, so would explain that one I'm guessing

The BMW repair instructions are quite clear on this:

Calibration/Initialisation required (diagnosis system must be connected):

"Camera-based driver support systems camera: Necessary after replacement of the windscreen"

Most independent shops do not have the required diagnostic system therefore they don't do it.

Likely the case, but doesn't explain why my x3 features are all working as they were before the windscreen was replaced...just a fact, not trying to argue you're wrong, they just didn't recalibrate anything and my equipment is working as expected

It is working, but they might be slightly off center for example which you won't notice under normal conditions. It can also be everything is exactly like before but you can never know.

BMW calibrates the systems to make sure everything is ok.

correct! the tech did an amazing job.
new windshield has BMW CONNECTDRIVE, also mention that another tech will be doing diagnostics/recalibration. They will put the car on flatbed or drive it.

I had my windshield wrapped when I did the front of my car. as long as you don't park outside all the time it should last for years. Not one crack, but as soon as I removed it a rock hit my windshield and cracked it within 1 week 🥱

My car is parked mostly outside so the wrap on the glass only lasted about 2 years before it started to discolor and made looking through the windshield a bit blurry.

OEM Gloss-black side vents... Grill was done first, now just the more expensive Cerium bits to go. (Body color mirror caps? Also those IND carbon boomerangs look really good)

If you really wanted to you could probably just trade someone your Cirium caps for theyre OEM body painted caps and probably get a little cash on it too.

I had new Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires installed this week. What a difference coming from the oem Altenzas. Bmw should use this tire for their Oem 20" & 21" wheels. The ride is so much smoother and winter grip is just about like having a dedicated snow tire. They even have a lip protector built in for the easy curb 718 wheels.

I used the stock X3M 21" sizes.

Front: 255/40/21"
Rear: 265/40/21"

IIRC one of the worst 21" reviewed in a small field.

Where did you find these in 21s? When I go to the Michelin website, the pull down menu only goes up to 20". My current 21 tires are: Front: 245/40 and Rear: 275/35. Would love to get these Pilots.

I bought them at my local Costco. They had a deal, buy set of 4, save $150. They did a great job with installing them, no wheel damage.
