3/21/25 - 50% deposit made
3/24/25 - renderings done
4/08/25 - milling started
4/16/25 - wheels finished and balanced paid
4/19/25 - wheels shipped
5/15/25 - wheels delivered by FedEx

I am glad that everyone is getting their wheels in good shape except a few issues. I can breathe better now After the CSZ exahust and now the wheels group buy I think I am done dealing with this

You should "kick back" admire your wheels and exhaust and enjoy a few of these, you deserve it!

Does any one know if a ET 28 on a 9.5 inCH wheel running a 275 tire will rub on the front?

anyone have anything close to those specs?

Should be fine, I am running 20x9.5 ET25 in front, 275/40/20, no rubbing issues at all

respectively, wouldn’t the ET28 sit closer to the suspension than the ET25 you have installed?

It will work. A very popular size for the X3 is 20x10 ET25 with a 275/40/20.

Your 9.5" wide rim is 12.7mm overall narrower.

Going from a 25MM offset to to a 28mm is a shift of 3mm towards the suspension, but since you lost 6.35MM per side (the 12.7mm overall width reduction divided by 2) your net result is a wheel that sits 3.35mm further away from the suspension than the popular 20x10 ET 25.

Wanted to run something super unique and truly one of one; so I hit up Ian from XY Wheel and cooked up these TRX style wheels from the E23 7 series!

Hey for those of you guys that received your wheels, could you provide feedback on how light these forged wheels actually are versus let’s say a OEM alloy wheel.

i believe OEM alloy is low presssure cast so these forged wheels should be a lot lighter just curious by how much.

any noticeable changes felt in rotational inertia?

For those that have shared the renders you can see it under the mass in KGs

This but also as some were concerned anyone have buyers remorse yet?

How are the wheels doing in general? Any feedback from the wheels?

Apologies if this was covered already and I missed it, but are these wheels TUV / JWL / VIA certified, or otherwise advertised / certified for a particular load rating?

Sorry to ask, but for those in the class that dont have an engineering background or any real comprehension of metal, what does any of that mean? is that good?

Overall I'm very satisfied with the wheels. No remorse whatsoever.
They are conciderably lighter compared to the factory wheels, about 9lbs per wheel lighter.

I can't really say that I notice any measurable effect on the rotational inertia.

The one thing that's stood out to me whether it's the lighter wheels or the change from staggered to square setup, the front end feels much lighter. Almost like when making quick turns or maneuvering at higher speeds it feels like the steering feels light and even more numb than before or that the front end/wheels are floating.

I have a hard time feeling or sensing the tires gripping the road. It's caught me off guard a couple of times during spirited driving and I quickly let off the throttle to regain a sense of control. That said it's handled like a dream and have had no actual situations of concern while driving, just that it feels lighter in the front end.

I am in the same boat but using google research (i know very advanced).
Basically JWTC or commonly knows JWL stands for Japan Light Alloy Wheel. A set of established standards for alloy wheels in Japan. These standards are amongst the most rigorous in the industry and are required for all wheels used on vehicles in Japan.

While intended for Japan JWL has become a global benchmark for wheel quality and safety.

For anyone that has received their set of wheels from XY Wheel, was the face (or anywhere) stamped with the JWTC or JWL mark? Or was there a label on the inner barrel similar to what Volk/RAYS applies on their wheels?

On the BBS CC-R set they made for me there was a JWL stamp on them, no markings at all on the backside though.
