Fresh wash with my new filter and pressure washer setup. Also cleaned the Alcantara steering wheel. Nice and fluffy again. Been 1 year with this wheel and it still looks brand new. I try to clean it every month and brush the Alcantara to keep it fluffy. Really makes a big difference.

Nice set-up. How about some details on the filters, pressure washer and foam cannon brand. Are you using micro cloth waffle towels to dry it or are you using a blower. (I don't mean a leaf blower). I am asking as I am setting my self up with new wash set-up after some discussions with friends who are pro detailers. I just picked up a new, relatively inexpensive, Stanley pressure washer that came with a foam cannon. I have not used it yet due to weather constraints so I can not report its performance yet.
Thanks ahead of time.

I have a CR spotless filter system to help with the hard water we have here. This unit is rated to roughly 300 gallons of completely pure water, just hydrogen and oxygen. Which makes drying a breeze because the water will not leave water spots if air dried. After those 300 gallons I can get new filter resin and refill the media and be good again.

I also have a Sunjoe commercial pressure washer. I chose this one because it is very very quiet in comparison to other models on the market. I could wash have a conversation with someone while standing next to it. Sounds just as loud as some nicer small generators.

Foam cannon attachment is from MTM and is of great quality.

Today I picked up my brand new X3 M40.

I do love it and I don't want to put it down after a few hours ownership - but .....It's not very loud? They've definitely done something to the gurgles and pops! My M235i was much louder.

Having said that, I didn't rev much past 3000rpm most of the drive home, they were all pretty much 30/40mph limits.

It's possible that 2021 have the same result as 2021 M340i and M440i in that they don't really pop and burble anymore.

If I looked like the new 440 I wouldn’t want to attract attention to myself either. Just my humble opinion...

No need to bring the 4 series debate into this forum lol. It already has enough hate as it is.

Any support for the heated steering wheel function with the Carbon/Alcantara steering wheel?

Alcantara wheels from BMW do not retain heating.
