Looks good. They sent me a bogus boomerang for the drivers side. It was missing the clip mount for the parking sensor. But I did get the grilles, side vents and mirror caps on. Still waiting to hear back from IND. Hoping they send me a new boomerang.

Last week I picked up my new car from the dealership. It was on order for 5 weeks. It is a 2021 X3M40i, White, Premium Package, ShadowLine, Ambient lighting, Cognac leather, and a trailer hitch for the bike rack.

Today it gets a clear bra on the front area and mirrors and top of the rear bumper cover , UV filters on the windshield and sunroof and a bit darker tint on the drivers and passenger windows.
Tomorrow it gets ceramic coated, including wheels and door jams.

After that, I will feel comfortable taking it out into the world.

Yeah IND is awesome I love the attention to detail and the service is great too from my experience.

My driver's side gloss black boomerang had a slight issue where the boomerang trim itself was not holding tight because of a clip issue. Not the outside clips that attach the larger piece the bumper, but the clips behind the boomerang itself. Wasn't tight and clean, tried to adjust but no luck.

So I sent IND photos and Ryan was very nice and took care of it that day! My new piece is on the way and I got their piece shipped back using a provided UPS shipping label they gave me.

All of the painted pieces I've gotten from IND have been perfect...good stuff.

Sorry about the HUGE photo. But that is my 3.0CS and TII, both are 72's. The 3liter Coupe is the 86th 3.0cs produced over the coupe production run.

I owned the "Stance Works" E9 2800cs for about 6 years and I did tons of work on it...decided to sell it a couple years ago and let the next owner enjoy it

Nice! Yeah my new one is on the way already too. I was very pleased with the amount of protective packaging/bubble wrap. I have extra paper towels for days for the garage lol.

How did you mount your CCA emblems? I dont know what to do with mine lol.

Assume you are asking about the more modern M3? Several screws holding the top of the front bumper cover. That allows you to pull it away a bit to get a hand in to tighten the screw on the back of the grill badge.

It's a really close match. Here's a few pics from today. I think from most angles it's nearly identical.

Maybe some subtle differences since it's tinted glass in the rear versus a tinted film in the front...definitely happy with the results.

And of course now realizing that with the grill flaps on M40i, there will be no grill badge. Unless I want to glue which I doubt.

I dropped the G01 off at the dealer I bought it from to have them fix the curb rashes front right wheel and a deep scratch on the back right bumper. I picked the Audi Q5 for my rental because I was also looking at those before I found my X3. Definitely happy with my decision. When I went to pick up my x3 the next day I asked my salesman if I could test drive the used X3MC they had for sale. Man that thing it's insane! It's cool to notice all the subtle and not so subtle differences between the G01 and F97. Notice the oil temp gauge instead of the coolant temp like we have. Driving wise it was far more precise and tight. The ride quality itself wasn't too much more stiff but you can feel it. But I do think I like the G01 better overall. I do want those big sexy brakes though. And the seats are very nice.

I think I might just do this as well. Was thinking about redoing all the tint but seems like a way to waste some money lol.

Dude! This is great, especially since I was just yesterday thinking, hmm that would be cool to drive an X3M comp to see what all subtle and not so subtle differences I notice...

I love all these cars so much and like comparing the details. My last car was a F80 M3 Comp.

Chose the M40i based on price and overall appeal...including daily driving etc...

I'm sure the X3M comp is definitely an upgrade overall but a little more stiff for the city driving.

How did you feel about torque delivery when comparing the two cars?

I do really love the way the M40i drives, especially in sport plus with my custom exhaust valves open.

Just picked up my 2021 x3 with m sport pack. Love the car and the lines. Very fun and comfortable to drive compared to my old m2.

What I did with the X3 M40i today -
Installed the 3D BMW logo projector light - love that !!!!
Tinted the fronts -
Blacked out and mounted my EzPass to the dash behind the Screen -

???? Can I tint the front lights without any issues?? Is this a stupid idea ??
