You do qualify for the credit. According to the 23 different dealers I've been working with, you have to have owned the car within one year to receive the loyalty credit.

Canada here where I don’t think we get the crazy deals y’all do in the US. Zero discounts available up here apart from loyalty which doesn’t apply to me. There’s only 4 dealerships in my province. After spending a fair amount of time at one along with various emails back n forth and finally making an offer I was told they essentially don’t negotiate; their prices at competitive. If I got a better offer, however, they would beat it by $500. I called up the other dealership in town:
M40i Phytonic blue Tartufo merino leather Piano black trim 726i wheels Ultimate package MSRP: $77495 Mandatory fees: $4087.25 (I found one fee questionable but mixed it in) Subtotal: $81582.25 Dealer options: $894 Before taxes (5%): 82476.25 Offered and paid $78000 before tax or about 5.4% off. This deal happened in the course of about 30min on the phone, plus about 60min for him to get it approved by whomever. Not that I had it in writing but zero desire to take this back to the first dealership for them to maybe beat it by $500. All in all this is the second vehicle I’ve ever purchased in my 35 years and feel pretty good about how it went - esp working with this particular gentlemen. I feel like he was pretty honest with me give I have zero poker face, easily get excited and start fumbling my words plus hate negotiating in general (over the phone helped). Now to survive 2mo until it arrives. Last edited by Scottatah; 02-26-2018 at 09:25 AM.. |

Hi All,
I'm getting ready to turn in my 2015 328i lease for this 2018 X3: DKO34CRO https://www.bmwusa.com/byo.html#!/build/color/dkqe6327 This is the initial quote I got from BMW in San Francisco for 36 months / 10K Capitalization: MSRP: $60,070.00 Discount: $4,430.00 Selling Price: $55,640.00 Doc Fee: $80.00 Acquisition Gee: $925.00 License Fee: $636.00 Gross Cap Cost: $55,640.00 Cap Cost Reduction: Customer Cash: $2,605.12 Total Rebates: $1,500 (loyalty) Amount Applied Upfront: $2,605.12 Total Cap Cost Reduction: $1,500 Net Cap Cost: $54,140.00 Residual: .59 MSRP: 60,070.00 Adjusted Residual: $35,441.30 Payment: Money Factor: .00156 Advanced Payment: $715.19 Total Cap Reduction: $1,500 Upfront Charges: $1,889.93 Initial Payment: $4,105.12 Due on Delivery: $2,605.12 Base Monthly Payment: $659.16 Tax: 56.03 Payment: $715.19 Edited to add: : My target is less than $700 with lease end protection. I would also like to squeeze wireless charging in there. Do you think I could hit my target? Weatherford's dealer quoted me only $1,500 for discounts...which was insulting. I'm waiting to hear back from Weatherford. I've never ordered my perfect car, so I'm unsure on how hard I can push. I would probably want to throw in wireless charging as well. Thanks in Advanced! Silver x3 m40i
I pick up at performance center next week. Feel like I am getting a great deal. They are giving me a solid deal on trade-in. Matching what a dealer friend was giving me as a favor. Did the appraisal on it 6 weeks ago and still honoring the price while Bmw built my car.

What blows me away about @Schmeal7's deal is that *enourmous* doc fee. In the Boston area, doc fees are on the order of $349-$400. But $689? Whew...

I tried to get it lower, but they wouldn't budge and I didn't argue the Doc fee further, as I was getting such a good deal otherwise. I worked with Chris Byers at Global imports in Atlanta, although I live in OH. My local dealer couldn't touch the deal. I fly to perf center for delivery next week.
I didn't even have to twist their arms on the original deal. He had some rebates for BMW finance/dealer rebate, fleet vehicle (although my company isn't on the corporate list), and bmw loyalty rebate, plus their discount. At the time we inked it, it was $3k in bmw rebates and $6551 dealer discount. I am paying cash though, so didn't have to finance. I am not asking questions on the break down of rebates. If you want the same deal, give him a call and tell him I referred you! Neil Mathias |

As to financing, BMW FS contracts (at least in Massachusetts) do not have pre-payment penalties. So, if you are a cash buyer, put down 50% or so and pay off the loan immediately without penalty. In fact, since you pay in arears, you could wait until the first payment is due if you don't mind eating into the BMW FS rebate a bit by paying interest until the first payment due date. In short, the dealer can give you more off (and get you a rebate, too) if you finance with the captive lender (BMW FS in this case). Then, you simply pay off the loan after pocketing the rebates.
