Haha true for some like my local dealer on LI. But not true for some others somewhat close by. I’ve found success with some CT dealers. Or even easier just use a broker if in the NE.

Which dealer in IL did you use? Was it hard to negotiate with them? |

Was easy to get them to drop the Ceramic Shield cost and they pretty easily gave me the extra 1k on the trade in I wanted. I had a good experience overall. I would recommend using a site that will show you a market report and especially how long a car has been on their lot. Mine was like 35 days so they were probably more motivated to move it than something that just hit the lot. I used Caredge and bought a month of their premium service for like $6. |

Yes, I did use the email scripts too and sent requests out to several of the area dealers (I realize not everyone is fortunate enough to have many BMW dealer options within 30 mins of them!). If you can get people competing with each other, you will always end up better off!

Sounds about right. Brokers have 8-8.5% pre incentives (fleet discount).

Is this inclusive of the broker fee? If not, how much of this discount are you giving back to the broker as part of your “out the door” price?

Why do so many people post about the great deals they got and not mention who they used?

this is an appropriate price for X3 M40s... sadly it doesn't bode well for resale lol... i knew we'd be back in the good old days soon enough

When will BMW stop accepting X3 factory orders for the current 2024 G01? I’m assuming the next gen G45 will probably go into production during the summer time. I know nobody knows for certain, but what is everyone’s approximate guess for the cut off? March? April? May?
The reason I’m asking is because I’m not sure if I’ll like the G45. I’m waiting to see some official specs about it so I can make a decision. However if I hold out much longer, I may miss the cut-off end date for ordering a 2024 G01. |

You can either get the final MY of the current gen w/most of the issues worked out (some folks may call the exterior outdated) or the first model year of a new gen that will most likely bring a host of issues. Did I mention the 30i gets a mild hybrid for the first time? Over at mbworld, the GLC threads have become a triage for all the 48V battery issues! |

Helping my parents buy an X3 xDrive 30i (in cash) and am curious on what percent off MSRP is on the table (if any) these days.
A dealership has one in transit with most of the key specs they want (Brooklyn Gray, Tacora Red, Msport, Premium, HK, etc.). It landed much higher than I would expect at $61,320 delivered because it has almost every option (except the handling). They still prefer the 30i that to the M40i as that's way too much power for them (but not for me haha as I plan to get a M240ix in Thundernight after the LCI). Hoping to get a few % off MSRP as this one is so heavily optioned that many would just get a M40i instead, but honestly don't have a clue about the BWM SUV market in 2024. Thanks! |

But before you do that - in general I think this is a very bad idea if you care about resale at all. 61k for a 30i. That car will be worth 40k the second you drive it off the lot. No one will care about the extra options especially on the 30i. Please just tell them to get the m40i if these extras matter to them so much or get a lesser optioned 30i. You can drive the m40 the same way as the 30i and be none the wiser. Keep the 30i in the low / mid 50s with the discounts you’re buying it at 50k or under - if not get an m40’plz. |

I don't think they care about resale at all, more so just the looks and features (aside from power / handling). The Msport with Shadowline looks so much better, to me HK is a must, a hitch would be great for my bikes, and to get the pano sunroof you need the Convenience package. That puts you at $56K. The extra $5K mainly comes from the assist packages which might be nice for longer drives. Comparatively, there's a M40i edition in our area with BG/TR with 28K miles on it for $56K. That doesn't seem like a steal to me to be honest (but it's only one comparison point). $61K MSRP is also a hard pill to swallow as it's more than the fully spec'd M240ix I plan to buy (basically every option except the phone 'heater' and I prefer the Sensatic cognac vs. the leather). |

If they are going to hold the car for a long time then don’t worry so much about resale. Just go into knowing this dealer is going to have a VERY hard time moving a 61k x3 30i when m40s can be had for not much more. This was probably a customer order that backed away. No dealer would spec such an expensive 30i. So ask for the world in this deal. |

Found a loaner X3 with the gray/red/msport combo with 13K miles on it. They offered $50,500 (would be CPO). Meh deal to me, but probably could negotiate a bit more than the new model. For another new X3 with that combo they offered 5% off and said no negotiating. It would land at $55K as it's less highly optioned. Also meh. They claimed the new version would not be out until this time next year. I said I thought it would be earlier as they were producing them starting in August. Regardless my parents would NOT want the new version with more touchscreen. It's already complicated enough for them haha. |
