A few post-test run learnings:
[*]It is a bit of a pain trying thread the screw through the wheel while holding the tire - unlike Japanese cars that have the screws on the axle and you thread the tire through them and tighten the nut.

Get a set of these. They will allow you to hang the wheel on the hub while you thread a couple of the wheel bolts in.

Here is a suggestion: You could visit your local BMW dealer and take a look at a G45 with the M Sport Package or an M50 and check if it comes with the exact same spare tire as the regular 30 xDrive.

The Xdrive system doesn't handle that well and the large difference could cause damage. Several vendors sell a spare with a 155-90-18 tire, which is close to the stock tire diameter. Has anyone tried to fit that beneath the floor? I'm assuming a significant amount of air would need to be let out.

i think letting out the air and trimming some of the floor carpet was how it was done with that size spare. unless u wanna remove the carpet completely and dont trim it. and still let some air out
