Too funny. Reminds me of when I had my MINI GP2 and went full catless with IPE exhaust and with the valves opened, it was so ridiculously loud even I couldn't tolerate it. lol

Careful with the stock downpipe, from what i understand this can damage it. I could be wrong.

I second this, we had bad logs with Shell 93 gas on the Stage 1 93 octane tune.

What are the steps to running a log report?

How to:

Then share the log here and we can all look:
Tuned or Stock Logs ?! ?! https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1706358

Mike can you clarify this? I was told this may only apply with Stage 2 which requires upgraded down pipes.

Mark, basically the aggressive burbles setting can supposedly damage your stock primary catalytic converter. If you want to run aggressive burbles, you can upgrade to downpipes with a high flow catalytic converter or even catless downpipes.

Ok thanks Alex. So basically what you mean is to find a local Muffler shop and have them switch it out. Any brands you recommend?

I see you have the same car, so are you running high-flow downpipes yourself or did you decide to lower the aggressiveness of the burbles to be safe?

Thanks, I'm new to some of this terminology, but causing damage to my car is the last thing I want to do.

By chance, does anyone have any logs showing boost levels on Stage 1 with 91? Particularly the low end boost levels say 2000-3000? Curious if it builds boost quicker in the low end? I ask because of the issues we have had at altitude and building adequate low end boost.

We've been stashing any and all logs here:

My car runs on Evolution Racewerks high flow catted downpipes. This allows me to run the Stage 2 tune and higher. If you plan to stick with the Stage 1, maybe it makes more sense to keep the stock downpipes and level down the burbles.

One thing to note, if you live in Florida you don't have to ever do emissions testing so who cares if you destroy your cat, just never sell the car to someone in another state that needs to do emissions testing.

That's how my thought process works. But if you want more sound/performance the. Go with upgrades DPs.

LOL, you're like kid in a candy store.

My tuner from DMETuner said the burbles is not really good for the turbos, something about the back flow from the burbles hurts it.

hey guys, Stage 1 E30 map shouldn't damage the stock primary cats. Is this assumption correct? Or do we need a catless/high flow downpipe?
