New to board and On Order
Just sayin hello. Order X3 a month ago, still no production date! Oh well.
Just a thanks to everyone. A lot of good info here and it has helped me devise several strategies. Tow hook, after market stereo to name a few. Just getting so impatient waiting..... Thanks again. |

Welcome to the team. I also ordered mine a month ago and am waiting patiently. I am certain it will be worth the wait. What color and options did you order? I ordered Space Gray, Convenience, Cold Weather, M Sport, Premium, Technology packages here.

It`s very strange to read about your time to wait the delivery.
You may be don`t know about times of delivery in Europe. I ordered my X3 in March, delivery in Augustus, I know about people who ordered the car in december, and will be september when they get it!!! |

Hi
I ordered a 3.5i Carbon Black. Black leather with aluminum trim. M Sport, technology, premium package, and premium sound. The dealer said it was to be produced in July but I called and the system said it was accepted but no production date was given. Reading some stuff here it sounds like some people order and then 2 days later they are in production. I have researched some aftermarket stereo stuff. The X3 is not well suited for upgrades. I am looking forward to getting this...eventually... |

pirumpella, the difference (in my opinion) is that in europe, you expect to have to wait. Here, we have salesmen promising us a quick production time that may or may not actually happen.

Hi Periwinkle,
I think what you are saying is that you can't trust what the salesman (they call themselves sales executives here in the UK!) tell you regarding delivery timetables. Exactly what we think over here as well! I ordered on 24.12.10 and was promised an April/May delivery. My X3 arrived in the UK distribution centre yesterday and won't be at my dealers until next week. |

you should confirm the dealership has an actual allocation. it appears they are in short supply in places where the X3 is hot and i would assume that's the case in utah. i would say pin down you're CA and make him show you the screen showing their open allocation (or allocation filled with your order).

lhsa, when I switched dealerships, I confirmed my new dealer had an actual allocation and it still got inexplicably delayed. But I received a production number today, at long last, after a letter to BMW corporate, so that is progress.
sfax, I like the math. |
