Australian Options
Hi all, I am new to the forum and currently putting in my order for an X3 20d in Australia. Whilst I have a brochure for the car I do not have a listing of all options and their prices - does anyone know if this exists?
It also sounds like we do not have the "packages" that other countries have so we need to purchase individual options only. Can any confirm if this is correct? Thanks, Jordan |

[/QUOTE] Hi Jordan, Unfortunately there aren't any option packs for the new X3 in Oz, unlike the X5 where one can order the "Innovations Pack" etc. We need to order each option seaparately. I ordered a 30d M-Sport on Monday 21st March for July delivery, but before doing so, considered ordering an optioned-up 30d (non M-Sport) Whilst it was impossible to get a printed options price-list from the dealer, the following prices are directly from their ordering system as included on my original quotation. Hope this helps you somewhat. Metallic Paint - 1321 19" Alloys - 1573 (over 30d std 18s) Performance Control - 280 Top View - 350 (reversing camera std) BiXenons - 1014 Headlight Washers (req for Xenons) 524 Nav Professional - 2448 Head-Up Display - 1608 Anthracite Headlining - 315 On top of these prices, you need to add 33% LCT and 10% GST to arrive at the "actual" prices - although if you're looking at a 20d, the LCT may not be payable until the total price hits the mid 70k's Interestingly, the total price for the metallic paint, performance control and anthracite headlining is $2693. Both the perf.ctrl and h/l are included in the M-Sport pack ($3k on 30d) and so by going for the white paint rather than metallic, I ended-up with the M-Sport bodykit, sports seats etc etc for only a few hundred dollars more than the standard car with metallic paint and these 2x other items. I went for the 19s 369M wheels too, which were approximately the same price over and above the included 18s as shown above. I did get the rest of the quoted options though:- TopView, Xenons/Washers, ProNav and HUD. Couldn't resist....... Can't wait for July, but haven't got a build-date from my dealer yet... Thanks Malcolm!
I'm looking at an Alpine White 20D with Oyster Leather, Panoramic Roof, Pro Nav, Top View Camera, Xenon's and Anti dazzle mirrors. I started getting confused about whether I should just be looking at certain "packages" but couldn't find any reference to them, glad to know I'm not going nuts. Has been so incredibly confusing to make sense of what is standard and what isn't. I have changed the config ten times now as I have discovered more info. Only this morning did I realise that you only get the better dash with the pro nav otherwise I was happy with business nav. Now to wait for a delivery date. Very exciting. |

I have just ordered a 28 with m sport. Also note that my dealer tells me that dynamic performance control ( I think it is called - the thing with the sport, sport and normal) is standard with m sport as well. He checked 3 times to be sure.
The options information is terrible ! |

The dealer has a sheet which shows the options with and without LCT added- make sure he's not padding his margin by using the wrong column. Same goes for GST. Eg. First price is inc GST but exc LCT, 2nd price includes both Metallic paint 1462 1901 Performance control 308 400 Top View 385 501 Bi-xenon headlights 1115 1450 Headlight washer system 576 749 Navigation System Professional 2693 3501 Head-Up Display 1789 2300 These are MRSP. I'd like to know what discount people are managing to get in Oz, and if financed through BMW what rate. |

Phoar... that's a whole lotta options. I sure would like to get the 3.0D but need a discount to get there. More likely it'll be the 2.0D for us.
Yours will be a lot of fun to drive to be sure. |

Great to drive and very impressed. In the end, I decided I wanted basically a similar spec but in a slightly smaller package. Hence I popped for all of the goodies that I liked so much in the X5. The 30d X5 has oodles of grunt, so I'm guessing the same powertrain in the X3 is going to be spectacular. |

Nice work (both of you).
Still yet to test drive myself, making the dealer sweat a bit He knows I'm looking at audi, volvo and a few others too. Aiming to get right on $75k or below with a few options. I think I'd go to $80k for the 3.0D if I could get a couple of select options - performance + DDC + xenon. That'd be around 7k+ off though. |

I have the options list, and dealer bulletin, not meant for customer consumption, but mistakenly emailed to me by a nameless dealer.
you're smack on the pricing. Probably going to order in the next couple of days. Are dealers moving much?

I have the list too and if you start going crazy on the options it goes wild.
Ordered my 30D MSport and after options got to $106k drive away. That was after a $5K discount off list, but was able to get free servicing for 4 years thrown in. Nobody ever asks but you can usually get it thrown in at time of ordering. I went with : 30d + Msport Package Dynamic Damper Control 19" MSport 369M Comfort Access Sunroof Anti Dazzle Mirrors Lumbar Support Xenon Lights with Washers Adaptive Headlights 06NF Extended Connectivity 06NK Bluetooth/Voice Control TV Function Pro Sat Nav Headup Display Internet HiFi System Pro Sucks that here in WA we pay more for Stamp Duty too..... I put my deposit down last March, and have delivery confirmed for early June.....cant wait. |

SS14, performance control and dynamic damper control are two different options.
Performance control is $308 and Dynamic damper control (normal, sport, sport+ modes) is $1462 Also, performance control comes with the M sport package. Hope this helps. |
