Amending order / Production delay ??
Help peeps..
I want to add DAB to my order (and possibly 19" alloys - if that doesn't happen, I won't sweat over it), but I think I made a mistake not ordering DAB.. But.. I'm very nervous about delaying my delivery At the moment my order is status 1100, production week 17, ETD week 23 (beginning of June). Have spoken to the dealer - and they can't give any guarantees, they have changed mine/others before without incurring delay, but they just do not know from the sounds of it.. What's even worse, is, if it were delayed, I have no idea for how long?! Any advise please??

My order was delayed from March 21 to April 11th. I cannot tell you for sure if my change caused the delay because my dealer was not informed. All I know is that I was seemingly locked in until I added Sat Radio.
If you search through threads you'll get varying opinions on this. My guess in your case is that your build is far enough out for it not to be a problem to change. I would agree with your decisions as well. |

I added to my order three times with no impact on the build week (3). In fact it ultimately moved forward to build week 2. However, the wait time back then was about 4 months not 9.

Told not make any changes as it would affect build and delivery date.
Let us know how you get on.

Friend of mine just added cold weather package to her order last week--they told her instead of delivery date in June, it will now be end Aug/early Sept.
That's in St Louis-not sure about the rest of the country. |

I just went for a run with a friend of mine, an international buyer at a car mtfr. I read on a thread on this site, but can't find it, someone was asking about delays due to Japanese events. I was informed all mftrs get components from Japan and production could be affected in a few weeks time. That is a general statement without compromising statements, but you would be surprised what items come from Japan.

I read in another forum, about someone adding an option, their order was delayed, they weren't happy, so they deleted their option and it went back to the original delivery date.
Anyone else have anything like that experience to share? (This question doesn't apply just to X3 F25's of course, not sure where best to post for all BMW's though)
