This model has been out 2 months and already a package change. How strange. One of my neighbors picked one of these up to replace her LX350. Looks sharp in black.

Fellow member "ALPINEWIESS"'s X3 in black looks really really sharp.
It is good that BMW is adding packages rather quickly; shows a healthy competition. |

Yes, because, I believe, it will include VDC (Variable Damper Control) which renders a specific "fixed" suspension setup irrelevent. I believe.

Sweet, so just add 2k to my built x3 for ZMP...
I can't decide, if I do get one and get ZMP, I think I would be afraid to do some light off-roading in it. Where as if I don't get ZMP, the plastic bits are less likely to show any light trail rash...

You shouldn't do any offroading in a X3, they were built to be road cars only. Go get a land rover or jeep even for just light offroading.

curios about what the M-package will cost in Norway.. Removal of sports seats, pearlpoint upholstery 18" wheels, x-line and sports steering wheel will save me about 30k pounds and the price leap up to the M-sports package might be within reach :-)

If you chose VDC it will remove the sport suspension option from the M-sport package. VDC is not included in M-sport. You can also remove the sport suspension from the package if you wish (without any additional cost).

I have an X5 with M-Sport, and while considering replacing my aging E90 with an X3, I like the M-Sport package but don't want a second vehicle that requires two wheel/tire sets. If what I read above is correct it appears the M-Sport package will still include all season tires. That keeps it in consideration!

Does anyone know if it is possible to replace the M-sport wheels with another set (like the 309's?). It's not possible in the configurator atleast...

Jason or anyone who knows:
Do you know what the order code is for the 309's with the all season tires {mentioned in your March update original post}? My dealer says he cannot see a different order code for the 309s that spec this. Also, any idea what tire make and model this all season will be? I see nothing on Tire Rack. Thanks in advance! Tory |
